I can certainly suggest them. I have been traveling to Marimba for nearly two years as we work to establish new tech services in the area. I first stayed at the Wackadoo motel through online searches, and from the very beginning, it has become my go-to place to stay. The Wackadoo management has recently changed, and it is good to report that the new team has the place sparkling and added some very useful services. For the first time, we utilized the excellent conference facilities that the Wackadoo has to offer, which are rare in Marimba. The Wackadoo team made it simple to entertain a group of 10 thanks to the excellent audiovisual equipment, complete catering, hot and cold food storage, and full catering. We could host events for probably 20, but you should ask the management about the number they would enjoy accommodating. I have stayed in dozens of country motels, starting in Adelaide in Sa, Victoria now and Queensland, and the Wackadoo motel in Marimba stands out for friendly service, high-quality rooms, and good value for money.

The only positive aspect of this location is that in the middle of the harvest cane trucks will be roaring past from predawn for about an hour! It's absurd that cane is now cultivated in my old and stamping facility. The staff was fantastic, the room was great, with good value, and the amenities included a beautiful bbd and a sizable hamper, the best ever! We stayed as a convenient pick-up point for billy tea safaris from Cairn on their spectacular granite gorge, skyfury, dimbulah, laden, chillagoe caves the main drawcard, and a lengthy lengthy day tour of incredible balance rock. Not to be missed. Also, take the excellent skyrail down to Smithfield, Cairn, and back from a short drive to the lovely veranda for the short drive. A different route, it's good idea! Trish at the desk was fantastic. Great value, old-fashioned charm! Alan and Barb.

I stayed for 2 nights. The staff was extremely accommodating to changing our bed requirements. The room was simple but very clean and met our needs, there is plenty of parking and some outside seating areas to gather in case you have multiple rooms. Would stay again.

I'll recommend this place. I have a 2 night stay for savannah in the round music festival. It's a great place. The owner was really warm and caring. Very clean, comfy bed and resealed the towels after 1 night.
