Obviously a great location and a nice property. Unfortunately checkin was a mess. Lots of misleading and outright incorrect information provided. Doesn't seem well organised.

It took a really really long time (almost 1 day) to heat up the house from 16 deg C to 24 deg C. It was so cold that we all wore winter jacket in the house. There were no blinds in the bathroom. It will be great to have blinds so that we don't need to worry about anything during the shower. But the house is spacious and the location is great.

Our stay at Echo Point Holiday Village was utterly disastrous due to a complete failure of their after-hours service during a critical situation. While we understand that a major storm was passing through, the property's lack of preparedness and support was inexcusable. A large window awning was unsecured and spent the entire night violently banging against our cabin's window. The noise was incredibly loud, waking us up repeatedly with bangs so forceful we were genuinely afraid the glass was going to shatter. No one in our cabin was able to get any sleep. Throughout the night, I called the provided after-hours emergency number twice, leaving desperate messages for someone to please come and help secure the awning. No one ever called back. No one ever came. At one point, I even went out into the pouring rain and wind myself to see if I could tie it down, but without any rope or equipment, there was nothing I could do. We were left to suffer through the entire night with the relentless, deafening banging. A simple check of the property before a known storm or a responsive after-hours service would have prevented this. The fact that we were completely ignored in a situation that felt unsafe and ruined our night is unacceptable. We will not be returning and would advise others to be very wary, especially if there's a chance of bad weather.
