A fantastic place to stay. Real Colonial Tasmania. 1835. Beautifully maintained, very comfortable, step back in time, great location, & delicious continental breakfast. Loved staying there. Highly recommend. True taste of Tasmania’s past. Would definitely stay there again.

An interesting building. It is a bed and breakfast run by an elderly couple. The building is one of the oldest in the town. The place was full of all sorts of collectibles mainly china but some interesting pictures. It is just a short walk from the town centre and a pub with food just slong the road.

Nice and helpful staff. Very quaint hotel and worth staying at. Only one issue _ room was very clattered . It needed less furniture and artefacts and it would still be very much in character.

Lovely. Nice and quiet. The room photos online don't do the rooms justice. Homely.

Not many places like this in Australia. A historic inn with only 4 rooms but with all the facilities that are needed for a comfortable stay. Very comfortable bed. Walking distance to town centre and dinner options. Good breakfast with excellent coffee.

The Inn exudes old world charm and this is backed up with old school, personal service and hospitality. Close to town centre and to the Derwent river bank views and walks. You won’t do better in New Norfolk.

This inn is more then meets the eye. The owners also have been collecting prices of history and the 5 rooms on the ground floor are filled with fascinating items that they were happy for us to look thru. The accommodation upstairs is old world charm befitting the era. The beds were very comfortable with fluffy doonas. Lots of hot water for showering. The breakfast was very generousl with homemade jams. Even though we elected to walk to the pub, Lydia offered us dinner, which on reflection was an excellent option.

Lydia and James make you feel like part of the family. Rooms are comfortable and well provided, complimentary fresh fruit, Port and Sherry in every room. Breakfast was included during our stay. Dinner was reasonably priced and very tasty. Wine and Beers also well priced with a nice selection. Would definitely stay here again.

1830's vintage inn converted from a hop storage building with 3 foot thick walls! Lovely rooms / suites with antique but functional furniture (not the bed! very comfortable!). Lovely hostess with great meals - especially the lamb shanks.. Garden grown veggies and good sized meals. The antiques are very interesting and the village is quiet and surrounded by country in which hops are grown. Great base for sightseeing, fishing or wild hop hunting. Short and picturesque trip over the hills to Mona, around the highways to Bruny Island and short trip to Salmon Ponds. Everywhere is within reach if you hire a car...Eat at the inn - it is a great place to meet people of all ages, or to have a quiet evening.

Built in the early 1800's and lovingly restored, This was a visit year into history, From a continental breakfast left in your room containing a more than generous range of items, served on fine old bone china plates and tea service it left nothing to be desired. If you like old world stuff this is a place to place on your list of places to stay

In wet cold weather we arrived to a friendly welcome, easy access to our warm room, and a booking for a beautiful dinner that night. One of the best stays in our 5 weeks in Tasmania.
