I took my family of 4 to stay in a family room. We loved the old pub style stay. It was a genuine old hotel with a clean and comfortable room. The shared bathroom was clean and showers were good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a split system air-conditioning unit and a great ceiling fan. Beds were comfortable and crisp fresh linen was soft and enjoyable. We appreciated the accessibility to the large front balcony and breakfast room. There also was nice toiletries provided with the towels in the room and coffee and tea along with the kettle. On site carparking was appreciated too. Will definitely be back. Great price for a family get away.

The only complaint I have is that there are no towel rails or hooks on which to hang your towels after use. Had to drape damp towel, bath mat & washer over shelves & window ledge. There were a whole wall of towel rails in the bathroom - dont know why, never saw them used.

The only issue I had was collecting the room key which was in the gambling area and I am a single Dad with 2 young kids and they had to wait in another area which I didn't like but apart from that the stay was good, nice location right on the river.

Very friendly staff. Riverfront location. Lovely to be able to just head up the stairs after dinner and drinks. Floors a bit squeaky but it is an old building. Beautiful upstairs balcony.

The room was clean and the bed comfy, but was fairly basic. The bathroom facilities are shared, and while clean, they certainly need updating. It's a fine line between keeping the charm of an old hotel while having modern bedroom facilities. The dining room is lovely and the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Downstairs amenities were clean and modern, just upstairs needs a little attention. Overall we did enjoy our stay.
