This property is stunning inside and outside. The managers are personally and professionally outstanding. They were extremely welcoming, flexible, and thoughtful of our needs. The property has a 9 hole golf course, and can organize hot air ballooning and fly fishing. Absolutely outstanding in every way.

My husband and I stayed at Quamby for our final two nights of a 3 week driving holiday in Tasmania. It was the most beautiful place to relax and enjoy the luxury of the old home and the beautiful gardens surrounding it. Emma and Sara were the most delightful hosts and Sara's cooking was amazing. We found it very difficult to leave.

Our stay was simply amazing from the moment we entered the front door, we were treated more like returning family or long lost friends. Sarah and Emma are amazing hosts with every detail taken care of, both have amazing personalities and a genuine desire to get to know their guests. Using the whole house to make your stay more like a home away from home with breakfast and dinners served in more intimate parts of the house or taking tea or coffee in one of the lounge areas. The food and service were fantastic thanks again Sarah and Emma for making our 5th Wedding Anniversary a day to cherish. Jeanine & Greg

Our experience at Quamby estate started with the drive into the grounds. The picturesque setting, beautiful old Oaks that lined the path to reveal the stately home nestled at the end of the drive. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and given a brief run down of the estate and the facilities that we could enjoy. After wondering through the house, each of the common areas provided an opportunity to escape, either lost in a book or to catch up on an email or two. Opening a side door the grounds revealed manicured lawns and views over the surrounding countryside that was just spectacular. Every area of the estate was beautifully maintained and revealed an attention to detail that was perfectly in tune with the history, age and beauty of the house and estate. The room was a good size, very clean and had all the modern comforts you needed. The double bed was awesome, soft, comfortable and warm and the bathroom fittings elegant. Our experience with Quamby estate was out of the world and we only wish we had more time to enjoy dinner there too.

The stunning location along with a beautiful nine hole golf course sets you up for the most wonderful experience in the magnificent building so tastefully furnished and with all the modern convienences on hand. The entire experience is sublime. The food and wine were amazing along with superb staff, especially Amelia. We have been here before and said we would be back. We are so glad we returned. Everyone should experience Quamby Estate. We will be back again. Sooo good.

The grandeur of this estate is followed through to every detail. Room 1 was perfect in every way. Our hosts were faultless and charming. I would not hesitate to recommend this the Quamby Estate to my freinds. Be mindful that the property is a little way out of Launceston - but this adds to the magic Deb & Barry

It was a cold windy and rainy night but the room fire and heated bathroom floors made it seem like another world.

Had bridal suite (no,not our wedding). Fantastic room and facilities separated from main building, giving you your own little court yard. Room had spa, and large shower with four post bed. The estate itself is a beautiful country estate, with 9 hole golf course next door. Did not play, but looked at closest 2 holes. Looked like good condition and would like to take it on some time.

We knew it was a B&B, but it was really so much more. The rooms were huge and had full spa tubs as well as showers. Luxurious bed linens and pillows as well. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional, and attended to our every need. The location in Tasmania's rural wine country means it takes about 30 minutes to arrive from Launceston, but they have wonderful country roads to walk or bike around if you have down time and want to explore the area. The restaurant menu items are limited to a few dishes that take advantage of local farm resources, but all dishes we tried were delicious. The only issue was that we were constrained to their restaurant for meals (no other options nearby), which might be pricey for some folks. They also did not offer lunch, nor was there any way to prepare food in the rooms (no microwave). But they brought us a nice cheese and fruit plate to hold us over until dinner time.
