Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Vielen Dank für das Willkommens Paket in Form vielerlei Essen und Milch. Das war klasse. Wir würden es weiter empfehlen. Liegt recht abseits, für uns kein Problem.

Such a beautiful treehouse in the bush with walking tracks to swimming holes. Saw a platypus.

It was a pleasure to stay in a private wooden cottage in the jungle. I can hear the birdsong very loudly when sitting on the outdoor veranda. The reception only has wifi but there is a player. The breakfast items are provided and they provide a two-day breakfast and we will be back soon.

Wonderful place to retreat for a few days with beautiful walks on the property through tropical forest. If you like nature and seclusion this is the place for you. The rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable with all the amenaties needed for self catering. There is however, no Wifi access in the room and telephone coverage is poor; so I would not recomend this for someone who needs to stay connected. Otherwise, no complaints and an enjoyable stay.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa treehouse for 2 nights. The treehouse was amazingly clean and very well equipped. We loved the breakfast hamper that was provided. We made sure to bring enough food and drinks to cover our stay for lunch and dinner as we were quite a long way from restaurants. David was very helpful and full of knowledge about places to visit. We were very secluded and private even though there were a number of treehouses on the property. It was lovely to wake to the sounds of birds in the mornings. Even though there was no air conditioning the treehouse was cool and comfortable on very hot days, we all slept very well.

Really beautiful views. Very private and secluded. We also enjoyed feeding the birds and musky-rat kangaroos at 8:30am. We stuck around a little longer and had a visit by a juvenile cassowary.

Beautiful cabin overlooking rainforest. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful walks through rainforest. We saw a cassowary on the property and a tree kangaroo at nearby Nerada Tea Plantation where we had an excellent morning tea.

What a wonderful location for a cosy getaway! The cabin was so spacious and the view was gorgeous from the balcony and the bath inside the cabin. Being surrounded by the rainforest and listening to all the birds was incredible. Fireplace a bonus too for a cosy night in.

Fantastic jungle setting, super relaxing. Could use more comfortable seating on the decks, if you could lay back and relax you wouldn't leave the decks the surrounding jungle is that good The elephant grass is starting to get out of hand but would recommend Rose Gums to everyone. We'll be back and friends are already looking to go there.

Beautiful relaxing stay in the forest, gorgeous natural timber modern cabin with view over the valley. Even though it was raining we still saw some wild life and the views of the rain and lightning added to the cosy feeling. The in room facilities were great and the provided first day breakfast was very generous. Thank you for a delightful experience.

We are so pleased we chose Rose Gums, what a delightful place, so peaceful and secluded. We were concerned that we might have difficulty finding our way as we arrived after dark but iPhone map directions took us right there without any problem. The tree houses are fabulous with every comfort provided. We didn't manage to empty the very generous breakfast welcome basket, even though we decided to extend our stay an extra night in preference to spending that time at the coast. Peta's very interesting morning talk on the parrots and Musky Rat Kangaroos that visit should not be missed. We also highly recommend the on site restaurant where we enjoyed two excellent dinners. There are many places to visit and wildlife to seek out in the surrounding area, the owners, Peta & Jon, are a mine of information and never tired of making suggestions and providing directions with lots of very useful maps!

This place has our mixed feelings. We didn't start well because we were given the wrong location, but not on our own because the spa didn't work with the one we booked so another small house was handed to us. We should have had a call and had to choose before arriving, rather than after arriving and being given a smaller place without any explanation. So, we took the first place we booked without the spa working. Great place with lots of wood everywhere, but it was what we expected in the rainforest. Everything you needed and it was cozy. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom, which was fine with us, are larger than the upstairs, and it was great to leave the blinds open and look into the rainforest in the morning. Just needs some cleaning under the bed and shelf space near the bathroom basin. Had some great walks and saw platypus along the way. David was informative about birds and musky rat kangaroo, which he feeds every morning. He also told us about local things to do. The drive into this retreat is lovely and the gardens look good. The only other people we saw were at the daily feeding of the birds. Didn't get off to a good start but all was fine and we all enjoyed our stay. Hope lesson learned that if things are not right please communicate. But we would love to return to this wonderful part of queensland because, along with the retreat

A true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. No and, in our case, no mobile reception. Although some might find this a real negative for us, it was a detox. Rose gum retreat is tucked away in the rainforest and has breathtaking views and incredibly comfy accommodations. We stayed at the cockatoo 1 retreat, which offered a view of the valley below and the rainforest mountains in the distance. The rooms are well-equipped with kitchen appliances so that you can suit your needs. The weather is cooler and, as we thought, quite wet up in the hills as you walk. There is a little pot belly fire place to take the chill out of the evening air. There are many routes to walk along as well as day trips to nearby attractions. Make sure you check out the hippie hide in the morning to see the tiny Rufus Rat Kangaroos. Another tip is to have insect repellent. This is rainforest, so you can run into mosquitoes and leeches if you stroll along some of the trails. Despite the unseasonably wet weather, we had a wonderful time. I heartily endorse it.

We only stayed for two nights, but if time and money allowed, we would be happy to stay one more couple. I really liked the location and the spacious room. From our deck, we saw victoria rifelbird, Compos fruit dove, and many other species. The walks were enjoyable, although no platypus were spotted, but it was raining. Great to see the smallest kangaroo the musky rat kangaroo.

In the Atherton Tablelands, rosebuds are just lovely. Beautiful tree dwellings create a forest floor in the center. The treehouses were above the forest canopy where we enjoyed our stay. Rosebuds is in an excellent location, close to the crater lakes, waterfall circuit, and Atherton, near the plentiful wildlife and a trio of cassowaries that reside here. The management is incredibly helpful with tips, and their website has great day trip suggestions. It was a delightful hotel with a lovely breakfast hamper and a lively kitchen, and the Atherton Tablelands are definitely worth a visit.

Great place to stay for holidays. In the cabin we stayed the bush outside the balcony was so wildly overgrown that was hard to appreciate everything else. There was deadbush on top of overgrown weed. Everything else was exceptional
