Great stay, had a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms and balcony. Staff was friendly and quick to resolve any issues. Only feedback is upgrading the TVs into smart TVs that could access streaming platforms.

I've stayed at The York when traveling to Sydney for the Vivid Sydney festival the last four year's. It's within walking distance of all the light shows and attractions. The rooms I have had have always been clean and tidy.

Absolutely amazing. The room had everything in it that you could possibly want. Bed was comfortable. Only negative was lack of communication with the check in staff concerning breakfast, lift use and general information. Seemed disinterested. Also unable to open balcony door.

Had trouble getting in, was 9:30pm. Fortunately another guest allowed us entry. We pressed the buzzer a number of times with no assistance rendered. Once in we liked our spacious apartment. This is the third time we have stayed and will stay again at some stage.

The York is very central to local attractions and Wynyard Station. We used the train system to and from the airport. Renovation work did not effect our room 1901. Catered for our own breakfast in the room.

Parking was a bit tricky in that it was not obvious from the web site where it was and there was no guest parking when checking in (i.e. no parking bay that you could access before checking in) not necessarily the fault of the hotel because of the insane design of Sydney streets. From check-in to check-out the stay at the York was great. The hotel is in a perfect location with easy access to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. The room was huge and well equipped with wonderful views up the onramp to the Harbour Bridge. It was ideal for our short weekend break in Sydney. Will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was very close to Wynyard station and a short walk to Circular Quay. The traffic noise with beeping cars all night made getting sleep difficult however that’s the nature of the City CBD and no fault of the hotel. Overall quite a pleasant stay.

The room was very spacious & modern.Smart TV with lots of stations in every room with a large TV in the lounge area. The kitchen was exceptional. It had a full size fridge, microwave, hot water jug & toaster. It also had lots of utensils, cutlery, saucepans, frying pans plus a full size oven. Beds were comfortable with spacious wardrobes. Generally the room was quiet, although a small amount of road noise did intrude during the day. Nights were quiet though. The unit has a washing machine/cloths dryer with an iron & ironing board.

We are currently working on a project to replace all our windows and balcony doors, which we expect to complete by March 2027. We'll try our best to carefully allocate rooms to minimise any potential disruption. All work will occur during the day, and precautions will be taken to keep internal noise to a minimum. Certain apartments will have the balcony door closed and locked due to ongoing work on one side of the building at a time. Thank you for your understanding.

Each apartment at The York offers a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, 1 or 2 bathrooms and laundry facilities.

The 6th floor garden oasis features sun loungers, plus a sauna and hot tub. There are 2 restaurants adjacent to the hotel serving Asian cuisines.

The York by Swiss-Belhotel is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Circular Quay, The Rocks and Sydney Harbour. It is a 10-minute walk to Darling Harbour and Wynyard Railway Station is only 2 minutes’ walk away.

Please be advised that from July 2025 to December 2026, The York by Swiss-Belhotel will undergo staged external window and door works, affecting different parts of the building. This project involves the replacement of windows and balcony doors in all apartments. The York by Swiss-Belhotel will carefully allocate rooms to minimise any disruption to our guests. From May to August 2025, the pool area may be temporarily closed; however, the gym will remain available for use. All works will take place during daytime hours, and contractors have assured us that any disruption will be kept to a minimum. We appreciate your understanding and support as we enhance our property.
