We spent one night at Barbarahof with the family because we were going to spend in Werfenweng in a nearby apartment, but we arrived a day early. Two rooms were set up for us on short notice. The staff, particularly the lady who appeared to be in charge, were extremely friendly and polite, even though this turned out to be the case for everyone we met in Austria. With no additional paperwork or delays, we were promptly shown to our rooms. The bathrooms had everything we needed, and the rooms were extremely comfortable and pleasant. We were asked if we wanted supper the evening we arrived. The guesthouse's restaurant area is outstanding. There is a broad selection, and the cuisine is of excellent caliber. Also, there is a lot of waiting for food. We loved it so much, we went back for supper several times. Breakfast was a little restricted, but it was sufficient for everyone to have a substantial and satisfying meal. Despite being a little limited, everyone can still enjoy a substantial portion. The mountains are seen from the barbarahof, which is a truly stunning location in itself. You can enjoy food or drink while taking in the lovely scenery. The wifi signal was the only drawback, but this is really not a problem. Because of how welcoming you are made to feel.

Good location right next to a cable car station. No fancy or luxury but warm and family friendly. It's clean and comfortable to stay there, very relaxing. Exactly what I want in my holiday experience.

This is a hotel where you get great value for your money. I've been here several times. The rooms just need to be looked after and kept up. The free wi-fi works well across the hotel. It's a halfpension, but the breakfast is good, but there isn't much choice besides fresh fruit. In the evening the food is fine. No culinary masterpiece, just ok. The people who have worked there for a long time have been extremely helpful and welcoming, all of us.

After paragliding around the area, when I came for lunch, I was unable to locate a separate restaurant listing. I chose the cordon bleu, which had a wonderful flavor, and the friend potatoes were great crispy roast potatoes. My companion liked a toasted cheese sandwich with egg. The carrot with dressing may have been the best tasting carrot I've ever tasted. The service was excellent, and the waiter made a reservation for us to ride a taxi after our meal because she spoke English well. Would be really happy to come back here.
