I travelled for a few days with my family in Karlsfurt. The staff were good, the hotel is clean but very old. The rooms are in good condition, the bathrooms are also good. Breakfast is good. I have a cigarette smell in the hallway.

The hotel should be the ideal option for those who want to take a trip down memory lane to the days of the last hamburg emperor. The hotel is reasonably close to the old town and 10 minutes on foot to the main square. The decor has a very strong theme, focusing on the last decades of Austriahungary. The atmosphere of the late century is very convincing but don't let it stop you, the bathrooms are modern, spacious, and full of light while the beds are spacious and comfortable, so if you plan to visit Klanzburg it might be a good choice, something a little unconventional.

The staff was very friendly. Although the hotel looked ancient, it was clean, giving off the impression that it had been covered in centuries of dust. Breakfast was tasty and free, and the wifi was functional. The city center is easily accessible by foot, and there is a bus stop nearby that takes you to the main attractions. Squeaky floorboards. Only shower gel was provided in small paper bags, so when you werehed your hands, you had to balance them a certain way to keep the liquid from leaking out. It's not a problem for us, but there are no international channels.

We have booked this place for 12 nights, but it is not recommended. This hotel is very well situated near the city center, as it has a decent position. Unfortunately, the town bell has a noisy sound, and it also hits my ears at night. The room you will get is located back in the hotel. The hotel is decorated in the Art Deco style and is based on the time travel of the proprietor. I got a good breakfast in the basement. For that reason, the location is in a good place but not for a longer time.

When we arrived with our family of three, the receptionist was helpful in locating a suitable parking area, she spoke excellent English and was prepared to help us with anything we required, although not too much. The hotel had a somewhat antiquated appearance, but that was partly the good things about it. In the rooms, however, you didn't get the same atmosphere. They appeared to be fairly new, the bathroom was excellent, and the entire area was spotless. The bed was large and cozy. Due to its cluttered furnishings, I only give it four stars. Other than that, it was exactly what we expected.
