The British Colonial was a great place to stay in Nassau. Small but pristine beach, good location for seeing the local attractions and downtown area. Pool area is beautiful. Their staff is wonderful, very accommodating and friendly! Only improvement the hotel could make is more comfortable beds and pillows.

We had a great time here , our room was always clean , the amenities were clean and relaxed also the have a private beach which is perfect because is not packed and there’s always chairs to enjoy the beach .

Wunderbares, renoviertes Hotel mit schönen, grossen, sauberen Zimmern. Super Frühstück mit Buffet und schönes Restaurant. Auch der Pool und die Strandanlage waren sehr schön und gepflegt. Ich würde definitiv wieder kommen.

Staff was very nice. They have food options , i hate how expensive it was but that was for all of the food all over the island. Nice pool, and good view of the beach. The only thing i did not like was the traffic is busier during the day due to the cruise ships and them being able to buy day passes to use the beach …. but oh well. it was not horrible but more people when the cruise ships come in for sure. the housekeepers remember my name which was cool and when they saw me they said good morning miss taylor , which shows that they pay attention. the food in the hotel is also good food so it was worth the price in my opinion. on a busy street **** you do also have to pay for parking it is 35$ a day. mcdonald’s and dairy queen right across the street if you want faster cheaper food option. they do a 400$ hold on your card also for food and drinks. if you do not use it you’ll get it back. i think i had to pay extra for each day i had room service. not 100% sure on that. there is a lot of different categories on the receipt.

The British Colonial is a fantastic hotel - right on Downtown and Nassau Port. It’s spotlessly clean inside and out, and there’s always staff around to help. We made great use of the hotel bars (inside, and by the pool) which offered great food and drink. And the pools and private beach were fabulous. Our room (officially garden view, but with a clear view of the sea and port) was spacious, and cleaned daily. And as you’d expect with the Bahamas, everyone was super friendly. Can’t fault our experience!

Incredible - “downtown” - location with access to restaurants, cafes and shops. The Hotel staff were professional, helpful and courteous. Small rooms and ocean adjacent view. But, no issues. Definitely recommend this property.

This is a historic hotel that absolutely live up to its reputation. Every staff member we encountered was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to interact with. Special notice to the Bar, which is lovely and elegant. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and the beach and pool areas are clean and large enough to accommodate plenty of guests. Lovely stay.
