My husband and I visited in January 2026 and had the most AMAZING and memorable honeymoon. The staff was wonderful and so helpful from the time we booked until the day we left. Every single person we encountered was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The people who picked us up from the airport (our flight got in a couple of hours early) came within 10 minutes to pick us up early after we called and they offered us a local beer (or water). We were welcomed at the property with a glass of champagne and warm smiles. Every excursion we requested was booked for us and confirmed the day before so we knew where to go and when we would be picked up. They offered recommendations any time we asked and even helped to rent us a golf cart for a day. Oh and they got us VIP service when we went to The Yatch Club for drinks and appetizers our last night. Every night we were greeted with a special note. The spa upstairs and restaurant as well as the poolside bar were all incredible. The property was clean and well kept. They had a water dispenser with filtered water. I loved the soap, shampoo and conditioner. The rooms were beautiful with amazing views of the sea. The location couldn’t have been better. We could walk to everything. The Ellysian really made a long lasting impression on us and we will be forever grateful for all they did to make our honeymoon unforgettable. This was a spectacular stay. We chose the room facing the Caribbean Sea vs. having a kitchen set-up and it was the best decision ever. We loved every aspect of the Ellysian - most especially, being able to step out onto the sidewalk (Main Street) and in one minute, came upon Beaches and Cream cafe, the best coffee shop one might find anywhere in the world. The restaurant up four flights was also a hidden treasure. Although one has to be lucky enough to be able to make the climb, there is a fabulous chef who makes it all worthwhile. Bravo to a wonderful resort. My only tiny suggestion is to add a little hook and bolt to the door so that when one is inside and doesn't hear someone from the staff knocking, they don't accidentally walk inside. But overall, we loved it. Thank you.

The rooms were lovely with amazing beach access and views, beach bar and pool. Lovely beds and pillows, showers etc. Very tasteful and clean. The real stand out is the staff. Teresa at the front desk made our stay absolutely magical. She went above and beyond, even helping arrange a surprise proposal, many activities and romantic outings. Every staff member was just so accommodating, attentive and compassionate. Truly an amazing stay right in the heart of placencia village steps from many fun, colorful and delicious food and drink.

Beautiful, modern hotel right on the beach. The staff was fantastic, helping with our every need. The restaurant was the best we ate at in Belize. Try the herbed snapper and conch fritters. Also, great cocktails.

Best hotel experience we have ever had. Rooms were clean, decorated nicely, the beach area is very convenient and well kept. Vanessa at the pool bar makes some amazing cocktails. The rooftop restaurant has great views and tasty food. Teresa at the front desk spoiled us by ensuring everything went smoothly, booked restaurant reservations and excursions for us, and was absolutely lovely to chat with. I can’t recommend the Ellysian enough, we would go back in a heart beat.

We had a wonderful stay at the Elysian Hotel in Placencia and can’t say enough about how warm and welcoming the staff were. Traveling with young kids can be challenging, but the team here went out of their way to make everything easy and comfortable for our family. From thoughtful help day-to-day to genuine kindness toward our children, it truly made a difference in our trip. Our room was spacious and easily accommodated our family of five, which is not always easy to find. Housekeeping was excellent—our room was always spotless—and the service at the bar was consistently friendly and attentive. Overall, the Elysian felt relaxed, well cared for, and very family-friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it, especially for families traveling with kids.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at this beachfront hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and beautifully taken care of. The views were stunning — waking up to the sound of the ocean and watching the sunset from our balcony was pure magic. We have to give a special shout-out to Jose, who was truly amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure every part of our stay was perfect. Whether it was offering great local recommendations, checking in to ensure we had everything we needed, or just being incredibly friendly and professional, Jose made a huge difference. His genuine hospitality stood out and made us feel right at home. The rest of the staff were just as wonderful — attentive, cheerful, and always ready to help. Our room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. We also loved the beachside restaurant; the food was delicious and the atmosphere unmatched. Overall, this hotel exceeded every expectation. Beautiful location, excellent service, and truly memorable moments. We can’t wait to come back!
