We enjoyed our fourday stay at pousada camino do mar. Imbassai is exactly what we were looking for, too expensive, not too crowded, outoftheway, gorgeous basil. Imbassai is currently under a major road paving upkeep and navigating difficult, but once we found the pousada, we were given a beautiful and spacious cabanacabin. The German woman who runs the pousada is helpful, speaks several languages including English, and is always ready to attend to our every need. The grounds are lush and meticulously maintained, with hummingbirds all over them. The pool is beautiful, spotless, and enormous. Breakfast, which was served each morning on our private porch in our cabana, was one of our favorite things. We have traveled extensively in basil and have never had breakfast delivered, and this was a nice and romantic touch. Imbassai is a jewel! The beach is composed of two excellent restaurantsjerimum in imbassai, a river that flows beside the ocean. We would walk to the river, wade across it, cross at the widest point, and alternate between the ocean and the river in a few kilometers.
