I can say that this place has a good cleanliness with an appealing balance and also the beautiful presentation. The main negative thing is that there is no food on site, the restaurant was closed several years ago, and so many restaurants in Shawville, an 8 minute walk or a 2-minute drive. After that, the owner was kind and helpful. Subsequently, the fact that the employees are locals are also pleasant and helpful, plus they told a few stories, so this is a nice central location for day trips that involve visiting all the Pontiac.

Staff wasn’t expecting my arrival but got room ready quickly. They also gave me some cleaner for my bike. Budget hotel , being renovated, but had everything I was looking for.

I started renting a room for my mother so she could rest while my nieces wedding near. Then my brother, sister, and daughter each rented a room so it turned out to be a family reunion. The rooms were very clean even though they were a bit old and the homemade breakfast was great. Definitely back.

We reserved two rooms at this hotel for the night before our owl rafting whitewater trip on the Otta River. Arrived late around 1000 am and were surprised that nobody was in the reception area, which appeared to be completely abandoned. I called the website number, and the employee promised to be there in a few minutes. He arrived soon and took us to our rooms. A room for four people was quite cramped but clean and cozy. A room for two was more spacious. Overall, a positive experience. Don't expect much, but the value for the money you pay is pretty good.

This is an old hotel in Shawville, we were there to hold a family wedding, it is still very clean, and the owner, James, and his staff are very welcoming and accommodating. We were also given lots of ice, so it would be nice to have a small refrigerator in the room. The food was excellent, and the service and prices were excellent. If the location is close to the town and a very nice restaurant, carriers, that serves supper.

There has been many changes but the most important thing for me when staying at a motel or hotel is the bed and this one was like sleeping on the floor. Hard to see past that for comfort

Nice, clean, basic small hotel in a location that was convenient for my trip and at a good rate. The sign reads simply "HOTEL" and I drove past it three times as I wasn't sure if it was the Shawville Hotel; at first it looked like it was closed.

Nous sommes arrivés à 19:15 pour prendre possession de notre chambre le vendredi soir ! On nous dit que notre chambre n’est pas encore prête puisque les meubles ne sont pas montés ! On nous dit que dans 30 minutes se sera prêt ! Finalement on a eu notre chambre à 21:20, sans chauffage, juste une petite chaufferette qui fait du bruit ! On voyait dehors à travers la porte! Et aucun lavabo dans la chambre ....
