We stayed in The Bear room with a very comfortable king size bed. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, utensils, etc. Couch in living area also quite comfortable. The only thing I missed was some cushioned patio seating to enjoy the outside.

Made this booking by mistake—and couldn’t be happier. Gracious host, nice home, room to spread out trip planning materials and very comfortable. Delighted with our stay! Bob W

We were very happy with our stay at Wild North Bed & Rest. We were in the Elk room, which was clean and spacious and had its own heater as well as extra blankets and pillows. The bathroom had those extra items that travellers forget, all ready for any travellers that might have forgotten them. The kitchen was well equipped, available for morning coffee or to have supper at home. Josh and Pamuela were friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. All in all, we feel this was an excellent choice for our stay in Whitehorse.

Really happy with our stay here, the room and property were comfy and clean. Coffee and breakfast/kitchen items were well stocked. Josh was very responsive; we also met Cheryl who was housekeeping and she was absolutely lovely.

We weren't sure what to expect, but coming to Whitehorse for a week we really wanted access to a fridge and kitchen. The reviews were great (they were not so good for the hotels) and since we had a few questions, we called the owner. We got an immediate response! Friendly and professional, he answered all questions and welcomed us to his house. We were not disappointed! The house is clean, our bed was comfortable, so was the couch, the deck is nice, we even had access to the laundry. It is in a quiet neighborhood. Cable doesn't work a lot of the time, but Wi-Fi does. Any questions, the owner is immediately available. Cheryl, the housekeeper, is a total character! Loved talking to her and enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. This is not something you generally get to experience staying in a hotel. Tips: Enjoy the coffee, tea, cereals, milk, bread, butter, jam, peanut butter and spices available for all guests. If you have personal items for the fridge, bag and label them. Don't bother buying ketchup, mustard, mayo, everybody leaves some behind for all to share. Same goes for shampoo & conditioner. Be open to meeting people, you will have fun! Give and take as you wish, but leave the house 5% better than you found it. Go for the 5km walk around the Millennium Trail, easily accessible from the house (turn left and keep walking). It's wonderful! Eat once at Klondike Rib & Salmon Restaurant and get your german bread and cookies at Alpine Bakery, Enjoy!

I found the owner nice to text will very prompt replies. The quiet hours were from 11pm to 8 am traveller's are usually up and out before 8 am and sleeping before 11pm so an adjustment there may be something to look at. I chose the Grizzly Room and it was pretty good. The bed was amazing!! No counter around the bathroom sink was a bother but there was a shelf above the toilet. The on-suite 1/2 bath was very handy. The sink wasn’t clean, the wall had soap splatter, and the soap dish wasn’t clean. I said things were noisy, but that had more to do with the other guests than the place itself. At 11 pm they decided to bath their kids and blow dry their hair. My room was at the end of the hall, the children rolled dice down it and bounce them off the walls. With an on site host I am sure this would not have happened. Over all. The home was comfortable easy to access with loads of parking. I would consider staying there again.

Josh was great at communicating the address, the house code and the way to got to the bedroom in the home, as well as other details regarding parking and house rules. We arrived about 10:30 and got into the house easily, but were greeted with the smell of marijuana. We went directly to our bedroom and shut the door. The smell wasn't bad in the bedroom. I guess I didn't read well enough, as I was thinking that the bear bedroom had a shower/bath, but it was just a toilet and sink. The showers were shared with all the guests. The house was a quiet place to stay.

It was a residential house with your own room, shared kitchen and bathroom, and street parking. Entry was keyless, using a code texted to you, and the bedroom was small but cosy. I did notice the bathroom sink/shower drained slowly, but that was a minor concern. However I was disappointed that when I returned that night, I could smell pot as I entered. So some tenants were ignoring the no smoking inside rule, or left the back door open when they smoked on the deck. Fortunately it wasn't detectable in my room, so just a little annoying.
