Clean room and great room service. Quiet district for night and we like it! No congestion or honking like in Jie Fang Bei. Good breakfast where you can try local specialty food and some western food choices. The Serene Spa massage is amazing. (It’s not cheap but the skills of their massage are great.

I definitely don't recommend the hospitality business, after this experience. I had to stay here for 14 days because of security, and after that I was free. But then, there's nothing wrong with that, even though it's still a fairly new property and a reasonable price. After that, Christy and agnes don't tolerate being cheated on by unworthy clients. After that, they had a decent club room and suite. Besides that, the club lounge service was impeccable, especially for Christian and anne, and the deluxe room was adequate. And then, the privilege of taking your passport and flying away was a luxury we took for granted in 2020. After having stayed in quarantine for 14 days, I was completely free, but the deluxe room was fine.

The good thing about this hotel is that the rooms are large and elegant, and the hotel cleaning staff is very kind and helpful. The bad thing is that the reception staff is unfriendly, they do not speak English at all, they have an attitude problem.

Once more, a big thanks to the entire crew. My top recommendation for a trip to Chongqing is Marriott chongqing. I've visited so many excellent places, as a regular business traveler, but from the hotel lobby to the entrance, you can tell that this hotel's service level is significantly higher than other comparable accommodations in Chongqing. While there are so many rooms at the same time, Arthur amos and Mike are incredibly welcoming and accommodating in meeting all of my needs, and Crystal and the reception employees are really efficient and competent in completing the check-in process. Additionally, the executive lounge is a place where I take some time to relax and read.

When you stay in a hotel for more than 150 nights a year, you can quickly tell if it has that kind of hospitality. Chongqing Marriott does it right! After staying here several times, I decided to meet 120 people at this hotel. We were all overjoyed by the hotel's warm hospitality during our four-day meetings. Breakfast, tea breaks, lunch, and dinner is abundant in flavor and local fare. I was pleasantly surprised to see my international guests and local staff's smiling and grins. Chongqing Marriott, thank you for such a wonderful experience. It was a privilege to welcome you on our stage and applaud your hard work and generosity. Many thanks.

In late July 2020, a friend and I went to the hotel. The hotel is situated in the Nantana district, just a short walk from the metro stop. The city center and major attractions are close by, and the mountains are quite tranquil and quiet. Being the first Marriott hotel in Asia Pacific to have new interior standards, the design was excellent. The public spaces and rooms are well-kept, contemporary, and upscale. However, the wear and tear over the past five years should be a little higher in some areas of the hotel. Fresh pastries were provided, and there were several hot entrees and cold plates for breakfast. I should point out that fresh squeezed juice wasn't provided at breakfast, which was a slight drawback. Service is of the highest caliber. The entire staff we encountered, including those at reception, restaurants, and housekeeping, was friendly and attentive. Overall, the Marriott chongqing hotel is a very good value in town, and I would love to stay here again in future visits.

The room was smoke free and pretty clean. I did find it a bit warm and difficult to turn the thermostat down. The staff were warm, attentive and friendly and would go out of their way just to come to my door and ask if I needed things. Here’s the problem: the hotel advertises itself as having English language service, and in truth this service was very limited. I chose this hotel because it was a USA based hotel chain that advertised English service. I had difficulty communicating with most staff, both of us using translator apps that did not always communicate the right thing. Even ordering room service off their own menu was a headache. A few times it seemed more senior staff had to be pulled away from other duties to help me which I felt guilty about. I don’t expect ALL staff at a hotel in China to have fluent or stronger working English but I was surprised so few did. Worse, because as a foreign tourist I did not have a Chinese phone number, the staff wanted my Chinese friend’s number, and asked for her to translate. She was not staying with me the whole time and this was not an option, plus it was a burden on her.
