This wonderful little place is located in the middle of everything in Dali old town. Breakfast was always freshly made. The bed was so comfortable I had my best night sleeps here during my whole northern Yunnan trip. Two things to consider when staying here are the lack of insulation in the room (cold!), and proximity to a school (early morning noise).

The arrival involved a mix-up over reservations which hadn’t been logged properly by the hotel, but the staff made every effort after that to make it an excellent stay. Really beautiful old building, restored with good taste, a great location in a quiet back-street in a busy part of the old town. Clean and well-kept. Good breakfast with choice of Western or local food. Highly recommended.

Owners do their best to make the room warm in the winter, with modern facilities and (most importantly) without compromising the feeling of this beautiful historical building. The hotel picks us up in mid night and respond our msg instantly very good service. Great breakfast btw. 大理冬天确实有点儿冷不过酒店已经尽其所能保障温暖了房子很有格调老板半夜一点来接我们很尽责非要说哪里可以改进就是老宅偶尔有略微的反味不过不是大问题因为是古宅我们也理解

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel, which is as stunning as it appears in the photos. It can be a little difficult to find at first because it is on a quiet side street outside of the ancient town's main pedestrian walkway. By taxi, we were escorted to the closest roadway, but finding it took us about 10 minutes. But I believe that if you contact the hotel in advance, they will assist you. After the hectic hustle and bustle of the tourist roads surrounding it, the peaceful quiet of this courtyard hotel is fantastic. Our room was spacious, with a very comfy poster bed pillows mosquito nets around the bed, which was particularly welcoming, a spacious bathroom, and a small sitting area. However, the decor is a little outdated, with a few bald patches in the carpet, and the automatic curtains a little temperamental, but the fact that you are staying in such a lovely, historic structure compensates for it. There are no glass windows, just wooden shutters that open into the central courtyard. And the ac in the room is a freestanding unit rather than an integrated system. Thus, if you want the experience of staying in a cozy, authentic building in the middle of the ancient city, I heartily advise this hotel. Our breakfast was tasty, and the staff made us rice noodles, vegetables, fruit, and toast. so welcoming and welcoming.

An excellent boutique hotel with exceptional traditional furnishings, a large modern bathroom, the best location in the city less than a minute walk from all the noise, a quiet inner courtyard with a water garden, excellent service all at a reasonable price. Would only stay at this property when visiting Bali

If you want to be close to the tourist-filled walking streets but away from the noise, this is a nice place to stay. It's close to the end of a dead alley with a Catholic church on it. It felt a bit abandoned while we were there due to the tourist downturn during the pandemic. The restaurant was closed, so no breakfast, and the staff wasn't always there. They were very nice and, if you ask, I believe, will provide you with a proper Chinese tea service. The setting is lovely, two-story traditional old structure with a courtyard. The lights and bathrooms are strange, however, the rooms are a little weird. The reception lobby has a lovely sitting area. You do need to walk in a bit since it's off a walking street, so no cars are permitted. A staff member drove us out on a small motorized buggy.

This hidden gem of a hotel is situated in the heart of the ancient city on a peaceful street. We had such a wonderful time in this hotel since there were only eight large rooms and a very beautifully furnished bathroom. There was a lovely seating area in the rooms, which were tidy and cozy, and had down duvets. Although the breakfast was subpar, my daughter, who lives here, kept me informed that it was still reasonably cooked. Should I ever be fortunate enough to visit this breathtaking region again, I would stay here.

The rooms were great and the breakfast was fantastic. The location is good too, close to all the shops and restaurants in the old city. The hotel is also really tranquil because it's so far from the action. All the staff treat you like family and always have good smiles. This place can be our home.
