I stayed here for two nights and was reluctant to go. The staff was excellent, the rooms were very clean and well-equipped. We stayed in a suite, so we had to climb a lot of stairs, although you could take the elevator a small portion of the way. They were under renovation and were very respectful of visitors staying there. Breakfast was basic but delicious, and they gave you a grin on their face! We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

The resort hotel is situated on the island's southernmost point. Though it is a 30-minute walk from the main pier, where most of the shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions are located, it is serene and tranquil. Our room, number 2204, was roomy, had a tiny balcony, and seemed contemporary. Every morning, complimentary fruit, peaches, and fruits are supplied. In the late evening, the peaceful sounds of waves can be heard. The breakfast buffet is also enjoyable, with several varieties that change daily. The amenities are particularly excellent. The staff is all pleasant, responsive, hardworking, polite, and even cheerful. Truly, it's excellent instruction. Although it appears good, the swimming pool is something they should work out. It looks excellent, however, the water is a little murky and has a disinfectant bitter flavor that is unacceptable. What a waste! Additionally, the internet is difficult to use and frequently goes down in the evening when too many people log on the internet. Finally, if the beach outside the hotel could be cleaned, it would be ideal. Otherwise, the wonderful location would be lost.

I would strongly recommend making an effort to do your research and making a reservation as soon as possible to obtain a good price at a good place, whether that be a hotel or an airing! A family friend assisted me when this hotel's final decision was canceled due to the public holidays. The ferry terminal is where the hotel provides pick-up. Since there are only a few seats in the cart, it could be busy season, and we were informed we were carrying too much baggage. Also, keep in mind that even if your luggage is at the ferry terminal when you check out, they only offer pick-up, not drop-off, even if you have it to the ferry station. This got to be a little absurd to me! For Rob 10, you could also obtain a copy of the Gulangyu Islands map. Another absurd point! When seeking information, the staff is not very accommodating. Two ordinary rooms with two beds were our accommodations. At some locations, the rooms were quite outdated and needed some work. Please refer to the photos. Several areas required a thorough cleaning in some areas.

About Gulang Villa

This holiday village is located just 6 km from the railway station and approximately 15 km from the nearest airport. The holiday village comprises 66 accommodation units in total, ranging from single and double rooms to villas and suites. The lobby features a 24-hour reception and check-out service, and there are several restaurants on site, as well as a coffee shop and bar. 24-hour room service is also offered. Those arriving by vehicle can make use of the car park (parking fees apply). Each guest room features an en suite bathroom (fitted with a shower, bathtub and hairdryer), a double bed, an international direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a minibar, Internet access and tea and coffee making facilities.
