It is close to Tiananmen Square, however, the location of our driver was very unsatisfactory. We complain that the hotel is not well-kept, there are no shops nearby, and the closest restaurant is about 3 blocks away, and because the hotel is on a minor road, it is dark and very quiet at night. The best place to remain is inside. Rooms if you are staying in a superior executive room, this means that the rooms are quite well-kept, with relatively new and spacious furnishings. If the room below that type deluxe or superior room is 26 degrees celsius and below, you will find rusty showers and soap holder, bad water drainage in the showers, very dusty closets, no bathrobes provided, a ripped carpet with numerous stains, and a dirty bedside slippers. Be advised that there is no air conditioning or air ventilation of any kind outside the hotel. This means you wouldn't have an adequate breakfast selection than other four-star hotels in china I've stayed in. Always purchase a new pair of chopsticks from the buffet counter. The staff clear plates and drink glasses by lifting the trash on the floor, and then they've completed their job. The placemats are not wiped, and used chopsticks are just placed back onto the chopstick holders. Food quality is good,

This is where our driver had a lot of questions about its location, but it is also located neartiananmen Square. Our complaint is that there is really nothing surrounding the hotel, no shops, the nearest restaurant is about 3 blocks away, and the hotel is located on a small road, so it's dark and very quiet at night. Best to stay inside. If you're in a superior executive room, the rooms are relatively well-maintained, and the furnishings are fairly new and spacious. Anything below that level of room, deluxe or superior room, would have rusted bathroom showers and soap holders, a poor water drainage in the showers, unclean wardrobes, no bathrobes available, ripped carpets with huge stains, and used toilet paperthin bedroom sandals. If the temperature outside the hotel is 26 degrees Celsius or below, be cautious because there is no air conditioning or air ventilation of any kind. All you would need for ventilation is a tiny tiny window that doesn't even open completely. Breakfast selection is fine but less than other 4 star hotels in China I have been to. Always take a new pair of chopsticks from the buffet counter. Do not use chopsticks that are at the table where you are sitting. Why? Because staff cleans the plates and drink glasses. Lokasi sopir kami banyak komplain pt lokasinya, tetapi tempat ini dekat dengan lapangan Tiananmen. Komplain kami, tidak banyak fasilitas di sekitar hotel, tidak ada toko, restoran terdekat berjarak 3 blok dan karena hotel ini terletak di jalan kecil, tempatnya gelap dan sangat sepi di malam hari. Lebih baik diam di kamar. Jika Anda memesan kamar superior executive, maka ya, kamarnya cukup terawat dan perabotnya relatif baru dan kamarnya luas. Apapun di bawah tipe kamar tersebut meluas atau superior, Anda akan bertemu dengan kamar mandi dengan shower dan tempat sabun karatan, saluran air buruk, lemari pakaian yang sangat berdebu, tidak tersedia jubah mandi, karpet yang sudah sobek dengan noda besar, sandal kamar mandi setipis tisu toilet yang digunakan kembali. Jangan lupa untuk memperhatikan bahwa tidak ada AC atau ventilasi udara jika suhu di luas hotel mencapai 26 derajat celsius dan lebih rendah. Ventilasi yang ada hanya jendela sangat kecil yang tidak bisa dibuka seluruhnya. Sarapan bervariasi, tetapi kurang untuk standar hotel bintang 4 di Cina yang pernah saya kunjungi. Selalu meminta sumpit baru dari meja prasmanan. Jangan gunakan sumpit dari meja yang Anda duduki. Mengapa? Karena saat membersihkan meja, staf hotel hanya membersihkan piring dan gelas minuman saja.

I've stayed at Mercure in many cities aroudn the world. One of the main reasons is that typically the staff could speak English well and also the rooms were clean and orderly. Unfortunately, in this case, the staff could not speak English, but even worse, the room was in bad condition. I booked a deluxe suite, erroneously thinking that would be a good stay. Just for formatting, I'll list the issues I had: 1. The furniture was worn out, 2. the wall behind the door had a gaping hole since there was no door stopper on it, 3. the sink was clogged, 4. there was trash in the bathtub, 5. there were burn marks and unknown spots on the wall, 6. there were reddish-rubber-like blots almost like paint or blood in random corners of the bathroom, 7. the light instructions were all in Chinese so it took a while to get used to, 8. the non-carpeted area was dusty. I could only imagine what the carpeted part was like underneath. Overall, I was very disappointed but was too tired from travels to lodge a proper complaint and sign my dissatisfaction with the staff. Rest assured I won't be coming back to this location again. Even beyond the hotel condition, there were certain peculiar things I noticed which made me wonder what kind of patrons frequent this particular hotel. The hotel provided a day-rate by the hour for the room as well, which I haven't seen before when staying at Mercure in other cities around the world.
