I've stayed in many hotels in China, and this is the best I've ever been in. The Internet is fantastic ... I could just carry on business as usual. The fitness center is good and very well maintained. The bar had a fantastic gin and tonic, and they even stayed open late for jetlagged me. I had a huge stack of student papers I needed to scan in, and they gladly did it for me. The English level was surprisingly good. Only two people couldn't handle my requests: the omlette chef (and I was able to finish in Chinese) and the poor guy I asked to scan my paper (I had no idea how to say "feed scanner" in Chinese). Room was big, clean, and had a fantastic view. My only complaints are that I wish they had regular water at breakfast and I couldn't find the bathroom light switch for a while. Already thinking about excuses to come back.

Wonderful hotel, room was large and had great views. In the new modern part of Suzhou. The staff was very helpful especially Gavin the concierge. He way out of his way to help us navigate Suzhou. Also has plenty of restaurants near by. I have to call out the beauty of this part of town,

An excellent stay, despite a few initial issues. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and helpful and the room was truly lovely. The horizon lounge was comfortable though the buffet was aimed toward the Chinese clientele (quite understandably, as we were pretty much the one western family there) - and nice to have drinks available. The gym and pool was high specced and clean. All in all, a lovely stay and we look forward to coming back.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Shangrila Suzhou Yuanqu. The hotel is up to the usual high standards of a Shangrila hotel. The location quite far from the tourist sites but we prioritized the quality of the rooms. Fortunately, it did not disappoint. All members of our family were very happy with our stay and we would gladly stay here again or recommend this to friends.

Everything seemed new, though carpet looks like it needs a steam clean. Had the dinner buffet twice - first night was relatively quiet, second night it was much busier. Service on both nights was excellent, food selection was good. They had the local crab in season, so several dishes around it.

Overall, it is advised. A very pleasant hotel typical sangria means a lot of marble, crystal chandeliers and a distinctive scent in the lobby and most public areas. Conveniently located west of zhou industrial park area most hotels are classified as west of sip or east of sip, and close to the lake, numerous restaurants and bland malls, and the gigantic elite bookshop. Its competitors the Wyatt Regency and the Piccolo are opposite. Dependent on traffic, about a 1015-minute drive from the old town pinging street and 25 minutes from the zhou village factory outlets. The staff was generally professional, although some could have tried to smile a little more. My standard room was very spacious with high ceilings, but as with many hotels in China, it was very stuffy even with the ac turned to its lowest temperature setting, unbearably warm, there was not much the hotel could do, and the windows couldn't be opened for ventilation either. Nice gym and heated indoor pool. There are so many well-known local restaurants that I didn't eat in any of the restaurants. This is a very nice property, though I want to try the wyatt on my next visit. I chose the sangria on this occasion because the prices were slightly lower than the hates, and it looked newer.

We had a great opportunity to organize an event, and I must say it was one of the best we had in zhou, very efficient and well planned. The food we selected for the event was more than enough for all attendees, and the quality was great as was the taste, very nice! I saw that the hotel has high standards for keeping high quality employees, checking uniforms and cleaning, I feel happy to see them keeping a high standard. We clearly can see the great team they have, not only recommend as I am looking forward to working with them again in the next opportunity. They tried their best to help or attend our needs for all our requests, eddy was in charge of our event and was always around to give us all the support we needed. A big thanks to mel and eddy for their support in the event, leisure or business, you will be well served at the hotel.

The best hotel in the vicinity of Jingle Lake, the quality of service is very good. They also serve the room and beer and have a friendly staff on the top floor. You will not regret the stay at this hotel.
