My friends and I only stayed at the Reserve Guadalajara for a long weekend, but it was obvious from the moment we arrived that diego was ready to share his family's home with us. He was incredibly friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Diego English was much better than my Spanish, which helped! The accommodations were very clean and cozy, and it was interesting to sit on the spacious front porch and watch the horses and cows in the field and the hummingbirds in the flowers. I awoke this morning to see a foal in the field, apparently it had been born overnight! Diego's inability to control the weather was my biggest disappointment! He does a horseback ride that I've heard of and really wanted to go. This says a lot because I'm not very comfortable riding horses. The trip sounded fantastic and the horses are clearly loved, so it was something I eagerly anticipated. It was raining, but I liked diego canceling the horse ride for safety reasons. I was also very pleased that the diego location was somewhat outside of talent, which made it very relaxing. I heartily endorse staying here!.

I had a great experience riding on the horseback at reserve guadalajara. They were the most welltrained horses Ive ever encountered, calm and delectable, beautiful, and clearly well taken of. The ride is breathtaking and beyond words. Similar to hiking in the value de cocoa which is also a must, with incredible vistas and varied environments, including a walk into the jungle wear boots. Diego is the ideal guide and host who is perfectly representative of the colombian culture, is extremely friendly, kind, cheerful, and relaxed. He has the greatest respect for the land and has only one goal in sharing the beauty of Reserve Guadalajara with the world, and you cant miss the opportunity to do so.

We are delighted that we stayed at reserve guadalajara. It was a wonderful experience for us when we stayed there for nearly a week. You reside on the proprietors 750-acre working ranch that has been in the family for generations. The property is exquisitely gorgeous, the rooms are cozy, and the cuisine and wine selections are excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive. The intimate knowledge of the region by the hosts is an additional bonus. He was able to advise us on activities that suited our interests. We hiked, climbed waterfalls, watched hummingbirds, and toured the famous palm trees. The horseback riding excursions offered on the property should not be missed. Even a novice like me, who was skeptical at first, was eager to embark on a second more ambitious tour after the first two or threehour session. I wasnt. She attributed the fact that I wasnt to the unusually comfortable saddle. She now wants a saddle like that one. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the horses are excellently trained and excellentadapted to mountain trails. Just sit back and enjoy the scenery, taking some time to hike into the cloud forest. We stayed there! We met visitors from Colombia, Chile, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, and the usa. This is a place where farm life and luxury merge into something magical. A true gem

We didn't remain at the reserve, but we spent the day with Diego on our horseback riding excursion, which was the highlight of our two weeks in Colombia. Simply gorgeous is all we can say. Diego was quite nice and hospitable when we arrived, and it was immediately obvious that we were in good hands. There were two other couples on the tour, each with varying levels of experience. Diego gave us a brief lesson on how to control horses and provided us boots to wear due to some mud which we could trek through at a later point on the tour. He also permitted me to wear one of his hats, which made me feel like a cowgirl. The horses were beautiful, well-kept, and all of them were very well behaved on our trip. I cannot express how beautiful the views along our trip through diego private property were, which was enormous and beyond stunning. It felt like we were in another world. Once we reached the peak, he gave us wine and crackers, we all got off of our horses and sat around talking and getting to know one another. The entire experience was amazing, and honestly, if you're thinking about it, do it! I've taken many horseback riding excursions around south and central America, and this was unquestionably one of the best I've ever experienced.

We love staying at this place. Diego was so kind and nice host. And then the location is nice and quiet and the breakfast here is also very delicious.
