This hotel checked a lot of boxes - close to the airport without being in the city, the villa we stayed in had a beautiful balcony overlooking the city, coffee and banana trees all around, with bird-watching/listening (saw a family of green parrots, too) first thing in the morning. The complimentary breakfast (choice of pancakes, huevos rancheros, traditional costa rican rice and beans) was small but adding coffee, juice, toast and sweet cornbread from the bread station made it sufficient. We had a rental car and were just barely able to park in the full parking lot. I highly recommend going out to eat at Restaurante El Mirador del Valle - a 3m drive or walk up the hill - which has an incredible view, a parking attendant, and was empty on Friday night before 8pm. The airport is a quick drive away depending on traffic. There is a very small playground, a short coffee trail, a small pool (which was just big enough for our small group), Britt espresso coffee pods and espresso machine in our villa. You can hear traffic from the nearby road at night, but it wasn't too disruptive. The staff was kind and helpful.

We only stayed one night at Buena Vista Chic Hotel, and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! The property is absolutely charming, with beautiful views, a lovely pool, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect place to end our Costa Rica vacation. The restaurant served delicious food, and the bar was a wonderful surprise with fantastic cocktails at very reasonable prices. They don’t have AC but it wasn’t needed in May. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and stress-free. Their hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, and they truly helped make our trip even more memorable. The shuttle service was another huge plus—convenient, reliable, and incredibly helpful. Shout out to Jonathan! I highly recommend Buena Vista Chic Hotel. We would happily stay here again and hope to return for a longer visit next time!

It was a good place up 4,000 ft above sea level. Felt cool in the May morning (upper 60’s). The hotel had a coffee walking trail in property. We had a great balcony view of the city. Staff was always very helpful. Good was decent. Prices were in US dollars. There’s no AC in the rooms but it was ok with the ceiling fan at night. Getting to the hotel from downtown can take 45-60 minutes just because of the heavy traffic all over town. Overall good experience.

We lived our stay at this hotel. The location was stunning, the restaurant was delicious and had a lot of options . Our favorite part was the staff, so helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a suite with two queen beds and a pull out which was perfect for me and my partner my mother and our son .

The king size bed was so heavenly! The room was spacious and clean. I didn't like the smell of the soaps and shampoos provided, but I had my own anyway. There is no countertop space in the bathroom but that wasn't much of an issue. We didn't get to explore the hotel much, but it was a nice stay. It was a 30 minute drive to the airport without traffic, but the driver told us it can take up to an hour and a half in heavy traffic!

The property sits on a hill so walking to shops was not an option for us. However, we had no problems getting a taxi when we wanted to venture out! The rooms are absolutely amazing!! You can see the most amazing views and sunsets from the rooms balcony! The rooms are clean and the beds put you to sleep immediately, they are soo comfortable The staff are super awesome from the waiters, to cleaning and grounds people!! I interacted and asked for guidance many times from Katherine and Fiorella! ! All of the receptionist were awesome!!
