The hotel was great and the staff very friendly and knowledgable. The hotel organised our transfer from San Jose which made it easy to get to. Included in our stay were a trip to the nearby town of Tortuguero and 2 trips on the canals wildlife spotting. The guides were great at spotting reptiles, monkeys and sloths so it was a great experience. All meals are included during your stay as it is out of the town.

Great place, amazing environment, included tours were very special led by Luis and our driver Danny. We saw crocodiles, all 3 species of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, many types of birds, bats etc. Food was plenty, but average, otherwise, I could not recommend this place enough. Even the kids loved it!

We had a great stay. All of the staff were fantastic. Food excellent. Tours with Luis and captain Danny were a once in a lifetime experience. We still don't know how they can spot some of the animals. Sloths, monkeys, Jesus Christ lizards, caimans, toucans, green herons, little blue herons, tiger herons, bats, oropendola. We felt like we were the only people in the resort, with everyone catering to our every wish. It is a small exclusive resort in a most remote place. Well worth the money. It's an adventure just getting there.

We purchase a package for 2 nights and 3 days, which included transportation from SanJose. They refused to pick us up from the hotel in Alajueha which is 5 km from the the airport, so we had to take a taxi to another hotel, which was a nuisance at 5 am. Overall it is the best hotel in the area, the staff is amazing and goes out of their way to please you. Food is average. Bed is not supercomfortable , but adequate. We had a great time! Bring cash with use, they don't have ATMs.

I'll tell you the point of this hotel, they only accept 24 guests. I visited this hotel for two nights in total. The staff were helpful and friendly. We also took a trip to the nearby town which has a tourist market. The daily twice a day boat trips to the park were great and the guides were very knowledgeable.

If you view the manages as a base for tours into the national park, then it is excellent, but if your expectations are for a hotel stay, you could be disappointed, which would be a bad reflection of what the manages does offer. First, the guides' knowledge is outstanding. I don't intend to list everything we saw in other evaluations, but thank you so much to ricardo and the captain for making it unforgettable. The hospitality of the entire staff was excellent, but congratulations to enrico, who was constantly smiling, joked, and singing. I even received an impromptu napkin folding lesson from enrico. The grounds and gardens were spotless, and thank you to these employees, who can sometimes go unnoticed. The room was really comfortable, with great beds, but the bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. The meal was only satisfactory. We loved the manages, and if I ever visited Toruguero, it would be the manages for us.

We stayed here for two nights with my wife. They picked us up from our hotel in San Jose by their shuttle service at 630 a.m. The first 30 km included a traditional breakfast and a ferry transfer. When we got there around 830, we stayed for one with a typical breakfast before proceeding to a boat transfer spot. You were trapped there for about 10 minutes by boat from the hotel to Tortuguero, unless you leave the town trip or any other tours because it is on another planet rather than on another nation. Fortunately, both food and beverages are included. The water is fresh, and drinking from the faucet is a breeze. There are 12 bungalows that are roomy and have two queen beds, a bathroom, shower, and a little enclosed terrace with an outdoor shower. The wifi worked well, and it had plenty of channels. A coke Minibar cost 2 dollar and a chocolate bar were $1. Naturally, we visited the national park, and it was excellent. We were guided in the morning and afternoon tours which were included, and we enjoyed a lot of wildlife and nature in the open boat. Additional excursions can be reserved. Since it is a rainforest, the air is moist, and we had some quick and heavy rain during one tour. The captain provided ponchos, but because of that, the bench where we sat on became wet

My family and I traveled to manages hotel, with my parents and two children ages 9 and 12. The boutique resort is hidden in the rainforest and has a river view. My kids enjoyed the outdoor pool after our morning adventures exploring the wildlife. We took a kayak tour with Louis and visited Toruguero National Park. Louis is a very knowledgeable naturalist and a lovely person that my whole family enjoyed. We also enjoyed daily boat rides and each time we saw something new. Both amazing experiences and numerous wildlife encounters Baby sloths, macaws, monkeys, came and more. In addition to the incredible nature and guide, louis, the manager hotel personnel make the experience unforgettable. Oh, and the delectable food. Everything from daily fish, ceviche to apple pie was perfect for our entire family. When visiting Toruguero especially with kids, this must be visited.

We had a great experience here. We were very blessed to have excellent air conditioning since it was really hot and humid! The accommodations were pleasant, big, and well-equipped, including a fantastic refrigerator. While your in the middle of the rainforest, the bathrooms were quite basic! It was nice that our porch overlooked the sea. The lovelyly maintained grounds attract numerous wildlife because they are located in an ideal location, which is between the water and the rainforest. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat rides, the guides were excellent, and the small groups were excellent. Because there was so much to choose from, we enjoyed the food. Even though we stayed for two nights, we would have happily stayed longer if there had been no change on the menu because there was so much to select from. One of the greatest features about managing is the staff, who is such a welcoming location. They did their jobs exceptionally well, but they were always available to show us the animals on the property. One word of warning, mozzies are nasty at night! Take repellent and trousers and long sleeves for the restaurant, but don't anticipate it to completely solve the issue!.

The good reason to visit Manatus is the air conditioning in the rooms, which no other hotel has in Tortugero. Other than that- this is a very expansive 3 star hotel. Food is very basic. Service is good though, like in most places in Costa RIca.

This is a very good standard hotel for what part of the world you are in. You are in the middle of a rainforest with little to no resources. The air in the room fails between 1 and 3. Expected. The transportation to and from the public boat was spotty at best. The Food is decent, I only got sick once which is pretty good for my stomach. All that said you don't come here for the hotel of the food or service. It's all about the nature. This is as good as it gets... Would I stay here again, probably not just for the lack of communication with the manager. He knew little to no English and could not address issues or even when we wanted an upgrade on a tour.

Preis-Leistung war enttäuschend. Die einzige komfort Einrichtung war die Klimaanlage.
