The only resort that InterContinental offered for us was costa rich because we intended to trade our timeshare for costa rich. When we arrived, the clerk forgot about our reservation, so we had to call again after 20 minutes. The receptionist was shady even in the room. The wifi in our room was inoperable, and we had to walk to the front desk. Our outdoor space was on a path close to the road, making us impossible to keep the windows open at night. Although the two-bedroom unit was tidy and had lots of windows, it was a bit noisy. Late-night parties and loud music were occasionally permitted on several evenings. The room had a bad, almost moldy, odor. The pools were tidy and always busy. We frequently utilized the kitchen. We had high expectations because most timeshares offer activities, and have more upscale restaurants and amenities. We didn't eat the restaurant. Our room's WiFi could not be used, and even there, it was dark. Take a car if you stay here, so that you can explore the numerous beaches in the area.

We were in a group of about 30 people called Habitat for Humanity as others have mentioned. It appears to be a hotel looking for an identity. Group hotels typically cost less than hotels, but they also offer timeshares and villas. We were in Costa Rica with the majority of residents remaining there. It feels like a neighborhood resort. The hotel was lovely, but it appeared like it had gone bad in 150 years. Freshening up is needed. The employees were helpful, and the rooms were spotless and well-kept. We were there during the first hurricane in a quarter of a costa rican history. We felt safe and dry. There was no leak everywhere. As others have noted, when we checked out, we had to run out of coffee cups and towels in each room. I can see why it is necessary, but it gives it a typical brother vibe. There were two enormous pools, each with its own bar and restaurant. There is also a small soccer field and a couple of child's playgrounds. You can fill your room refrigerator with drinks and snacks. Coco beach is only a few miles away, so if you want to swim or explore the region, you must hire a car. It was a pleasant stay. My only complaint. There, groups are on a meal plan. The food is adequate, but they have a drink dispenser that contains the

I was with a party like others. We were each given a wristband, two towels, and one card key. Instead of welcoming us, we were warned that looking for a towel or card key would cost us. Our room was at the very back of the property, about two blocks from the office and hard to find. Thankfully, a security officer assisted us. Our shower head had a device with wires attached. During my shower, the hose dislocated. When I was blown up by an electrical shock, I attempted to fix it. They have a good restaurant on a positive note. The menu is varied, and the food and service were excellent. It compensates for the hotel reception staff.
