We booked this knowing it was a low-cost hotel with mixed reviews, just looking for a short break three nights all inclusive in a nice area to explore. Upon check-in it was clear the hotel was old and required substantial investment to get it up to the standards of a three-star hotel in the just century. some areas such as the restaurant service area and the wellness center, but the rest of the hotel seemed to have just repaired or repaired as required from the 1970 s until now. Our room was basic but clean so nothing surprising.Several aspects were aged including their choice of curtains that only half covered the windows, the window frames are wooden and lost so not a place to stay in the winter. But with a lovely balcony overlooking the parking lot we could have had a view of the lake if we chose to pay more. The toilet is separate but is very low, comparable to the level at a primary school. The bed was rock hard, I almost thought I would sleep on the concrete balcony one night, the coffee was unbearable even by machine coffee standards, the juices were watered down more than you would normally expect. Lunch had two options and if you didn't like it there was no option to change, again, small portions. Dinner was a buffet style, with 34 options but the hotel staff served the portions from the hot plate to stop people expressing the pool etc when

This is a lovely and reasonably priced motel that is conveniently located for access to the lake and a short taxi ride or i. 50 minute walk into the heart of Luhacovice. The free breakfast was delicious, but we had trouble finding anything to eat in the hotel in the evening. As English tourists with very limited czech languages, we did find it difficult to communicate at this hotel because it wasnt particularly geared up for English speakers, although the receptionist and bartender knew some English. It would have been nice to have printed in English about the hotel in the room, e. I. Breakfast hours, spa information. The room was fairly basic but comfy and the balcony was nice with chairs and a view of the lake. When we stayed in august, the room was extremely hot. A fan and a refrigerator would have been helpful. A safe in the room would have been nice, which is what I generally anticipate from hotel rooms. Fi to visitors, if you stay at this hotel and want to walk to Laubachice, there are trails either side of the dam turn right out the back of the hotel along the lake path, which is a handy quick cut, Google Maps appears to know about. The hotel at Damantium is modest, not modern, may be 30 or 40 years old, but very nice, family friendly, with helpful staff. From hotel room to pool, you can only use the bathroom and a bathrobe. We've been there every early spring for over 3 years with both kids, and we are satisfied. And the price is reasonable, given the information above.
