We stayed here for one night while on a bicycle tour on the other side. The hotel was in a fantastic location for the trip. Right on the route as you enter Concepcion. We had a nice room, although it was a bit old. It was clean and well-furnished. We had a nice meal at the restaurant, but it was nothing special. The portions were generous. I had pasta, which could have served two people! The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was really my intention to enjoy this hotel. It is on the riverbank next to the boathouse, and the restaurant and bar are well-liked by locals. The proprietor has been expanding it for years and is clearly investing in it. The receptionist even spoke English. But, the bathroom was modern and functional, but the shower only worked for 10 seconds at a time when a button was pressed. I never stayed in a youth hostel in the 1960 s, but I'm guessing they had similar arrangements. With soapy hands, not only is a stiff button to push on and off, but the water temperature never gets any chance to stabilise with all the shutting off and on, so you get a shower that fluctuates from cold to hot every 10 seconds, as well as zero flow to full force. On top of that, the drain was semi-blocked, and the shower only had a fixed overhead rose. They obviously aren't too concerned about saving water though, as there was no plug in the wash basin we discovered on day 2 in the cupboard underneath. We spent two nights, but we never got any visit from the chambermaids. When we got back to our room for dinner on the first night at rp, they were still working their way along the corridor, but they never made it as far as our room which was clearly understaffed. The ambiance was nice and well-kept, the restaurant is also well-equipped, with a nice playground for kids. It was also easy to reach the brownies center and the quiet area as a whole. The restaurant offers an array of tasty dishes. We tried a lot of food here. The breakfast menu needs to be improved.

The hotel is average. The equipment is a little old. There is no elevator or air conditioning in the rooms. They are dog friendly. Parking was not a problem. The front desk is open until 2200, but they can let you enter the lobby via key. Breakfast has a very small menu, with almost no fruit or vegetables. The personal was friendly.
