Wonderful hotel in one of the castle wings. Room was large, but the bathroom was small and has a bathtub with shower, it’s OK, but not more. In the castle cellar is the Czech National Wine Centre, where they have over 160 wines from the Czech Republic, and you can buy s ticket for 2 hours and taste as many as you want, each wine has a large fold-up with data and a QR code so you can read in other languages. Valtice is a very nice little town, there are many wine-bars and restaurants, well worth a visit!

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the chateau. It was easy to find reception and they were extremely polite. We had a lot of light in the room, but the curtains don't really do much when you try to close them so you would need to bring an eyemask if you want to sleep past sunrise. The food at the restaurant was average but it is one of the only places around. The staff don't really speak English so it can be complicated if you have questions. The breakfast was ok, there was enough food, eggs and meat but the range wasn't mind-blowing. I would still recommend this as a wonderful place to stay. We have a gorgeous view over the village

Redelijk simpel hotel, maar op een hele mooie locatie naast het kasteel van Valtoce. Mogelijkheid om auto te parkeren (kosten € 10 euro). Geen airco, maar wel ventilator en dikke kasteelmuren dus prima. Op 50 meter in de kelder van het kasteel kun je een hele leuke uitgebreide wijnproeverij doen.

Beautiful historic building with severe limitations. The physical appearance of the property is impressive but the rooms miss modern conveniences like electrical outlets (seriously!) and any way to regulate heat. On the plus side, the resturant is quite nice and the young staff are very kind and professional. If you have a car and wish to park, be careful to have them explain to you in detail which is the hotel lot and which is the city parking lot, because you will be fined if you are in the wrong one. There is construction work going on in April 2026 and though it was not that intrusive, if you are sensitive to noise or worker chatter that could be an issue---it was not for me. Overall it was a nice stay in a lovely part of Czechia, but probably not worth the cost.

Mooie omgeving. Mooi gebouw. Lekker terras met restaurant. Minder was de kamer. Vooral de badkamer was klein. Geen airco. Op de foto internet wordt een schitterend gebouw afgebeeld. Echter de kamers liggen in de linker vleugel. Het hoofdkasteel is tegen betaling, zondervkorying, als museum te bezoeken.
