A star for booking handling but 5 stars for service would be given to this location. When I stepped into the hotel, I was informed that they had a doublebooking issue. They claim that the online booking site I used was to blame and that they didnt have a room for me. I can understand that such a problem happens, but why wasnt I told about it days in advance, particularly since I was informed that the person who occupied my room checked in three days earlier could not have noticed the issue then and let me know. Pauline was incredibly helpful in a difficult situation, all hotels in the city were full booked due to a major conference, and she walked around the area with me for two hours, making phone calls to various locations, until we found a satisfactory location for me. I appreciate her effort. Call ahead to confirm your room is available if you reserve this location.

I agree with other reviewers. Pauline and her family make visitors feel at home at Casa vista Hermosa. The double bed downstairs and the single bed upstairs were impeccable and comfortable. The staff family was very helpful and truly warm and friendly. We used a large base and they allowed us to store large packs while we took multiple trips, which was very helpful. The location is excellent, the neighborhood seems to be seeing a bit of gentrification with small bars and restaurants opening in opulent old buildings, and all the old town sites within walking distance, a slightly longer but easily doable walk to magical, cheap cab rides to all other destinations. We sought bus stations, magical restaurants, teleferico, etc. Pauline and her colleagues were glad to arrange transportation for us if desired.

We ended up at Casa Vista Hermosa late at night because we could not find any spots to sleep. The owner of the property was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She cleaned the room for us at 10 p. M. The room was large, even a tiny apartment, and very comfortable. The bathroom was outside of the room, but it was private, so no problem at all. The view of Pretty is absolutely breathtaking! We had a delicious breakfast extra charge, probably one of the finest in ecuador. It was also one of the lowest hotels we stayed in. We heartily suggest this location. The only drawback, however, as with most places in ecuador, is the morning noise from the street.

We had a wonderful day in a peaceful environment. And we were so welcomed from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was great and we felt at home. The kids love pancakes with honey.

We stayed in this hotel several times when returning from ecuador. Pauline, her mother, and her aunt are wonderful and made us feel at home and were incredibly helpful with everything. The rooms are spacious and clean, especially the upper floors with high ceilings and large windows. The view is beautiful. Breakfast is $5.50 for bread, eggs, juice and coffee, and $3.50 for yoghurt, fruit, granola, and pancakes. Also the location is excellent. The old center is a five-minute walk away, but more on a hill, resulting in a quiet nighttime vibe and a slightly cleaner air. Only 10 minutes are needed to get to a bus stop in the city from north to south. Around the corner are several excellent, more international restaurants, as well as a great pub. The cost of the rooms is also extremely low compared to other hotels in the city of this caliber. Pauline and her mother's friendliness adds a special charm to this location!.
