It was a pleasure to stay at Cardedeus Cangregera. The staff was very polite, specially Carlos, his service was excellent. I have visited several hotels throughout El Salvador the last 12 days including Cardedeus in San Salvador. Nothing compares to Cardedeus Residence at Playa Cagregera

My stay was amazing. Beautiful place. Very friendly and professional staff. Must recommend it to stay there. The only thing is the prices for coffee more expensive compare to the US. $7.50 for two cups of coffee, no refile. They don’t have coffee maker in the room as thy mention when you make the room reservation.

Really excellent little hotel, top level rooms, staff, pool and beach access. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend. Not much to do activities-wise so bring a book and plan to just chill. Loved it, will be back.

The property was absolutely gorgeous! This is a relatively new property, but it was not lacking in any major aspects. My standard room was very spacious. The staff is very responsive on WhatsApp for any needs from room service to the cleaning service. Since it’s a smaller property, it’s a very intimate vibe. The restaurant was tasty and had reasonable options considering it’s a smaller property. Ubers/taxis may have a hard time picking you up since it’s a new property and in my experience most haven’t heard of it and had trouble finding it. One downside is the beach isn’t swimmable and also the road to the hotel is very rocky and almost undrivable for regular cars so keep in mind that it adds an extra 15-20mins to your driving time just to get off the main access road. If you want an intimate-isolated luxurious vibe for your stay and don’t anticipate on doing much local exploring, then I highly recommend this property.

The place was beautiful. The amenities were extremely well kept and clean. It’s in its infancy….. they know the items they are missing. Like communication to the front desk, simple Kleenex boxes in the rooms, a coffee machine in the room or water boiling kettle to make tea. No elevator and the rooms are quite awkwardly positioned. The balcony leads to the parking lot which is considered a garden view but it’s a useless garden no chairs to wait while you …. Wait for an uber or check out or check in. Some cheesy beach furniture to use the space would be nice. However it’s useless. No real private spaces to make a call. The beach is completely engulfed by a super rough current and unsafe for less experienced swimmers but the break doesn’t even allow for body surfing. The fire pits are a great touch. But the resident dogs are always begging and free to roam bark at whatever and cute bit….. it’s not fun when you are having a doggie out his sad face on your lap while you are dining. Poole are nice. But it’s more a feel of a high end Hostel hotel feel than a luxurious hotel. Certainly not worth the price as other hotels cost much lessor but have even more minor amenities and privacy. Dining room is very communal, food is great but not exceptional. Overall for 80 usd less it would be excellent. If I pay a high price I expect to go into the balcony and not be inundated by the sound of aaC units as the where you can’t hear the rough surf just a few feet away. Staff exceptional/amazing

The layout of exterior is nice, the interior room needs a few updates. Add a bench or luggage rack, plug 🔌 outlets right next to the bed on each side, need kleenex tissue AND face towels. This place has potential but better food options is NEEDED! Add SPA services from a third party and here’s a BIGGER ISSUE… TRANSPORTATION COMING TO HOTEL IS PAINFUL. It over an hour to get an Uber to come this dead zone. The area and roads needs improvement. I won’t come back unless some serious upgrades are made.

Excessive Wait for Basic Service I waited over an hour for a basic breakfast. This is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that markets itself as a premium destination. Discriminatory Treatment I observed a clear disparity in treatment between local guests and white guests. While certain guests received prompt and courteous service, others—including myself—were met with dismissive attitudes and a lack of urgency. This is discriminatory and cannot be tolerated. No Solutions or Apologies When these issues were raised, staff offered no meaningful solutions or genuine apologies. A simple “sorry” without action is not service recovery. There was no attempt to rectify the situation or demonstrate accountability. Overly Restrictive Hotel Rules In addition to these shortcomings, the hotel imposed strict and inflexible rules that negatively impacted the guest experience. Policies should enhance hospitality rather than create unnecessary barriers for paying guests. The fact that the booking was made through a third party is not relevant. The poor service was received at your hotel. Cutting My Stay Short Due to these repeated failures, I cut my stay short by two days. This was not my original plan, but the lack of service and respect left me with no choice. I have written several emails directly and have not received a response.
