Our visit with these wonderful hosts began with a car scrambling to stop as we walked the village on our bikes and our hostess pointing out where we could find the key as she went on a walk to meet local artisan producers. We had a twin room with a private bathroom, and the house had lots of parking and a large garden next to a tiny lake. Our hostess returned the next evening and took us to meet her husband at a night market in a nearby town where there was a wandering minstrel and loads of local producers of artisan wines and cheeses and different items such as soaps and lavender products. Grilled pork cutlets were becoming a thriving business. We all sat at long tables and shared food and wine, and lots of Burgundian cheer. Breakfast the next morning was on the terrace with delicious homemade jams, local cheeses, and tasty bread. Our hosts assisted with arranging our bicycles, checking our tyres, and suggesting different routes to take. Such warmth and hospitality remain a standout.

We spent three nights at this hotel. The only room available was the smallest with a bathroom and toilet down the hall. These amenities were only for our use and our bedroom had a sink. The room was comfortable and I also spent time downstairs in the living room, which has nice couches and a lot of books to explore. The entire place was immaculate. The be is in an excellent location to visit medieval villages and chateaux. The burgundy canal is close by, making it ideal for biking, walking, and running. The Burgundy vineyards are not far away. Breakfast is generous, with many homemade preserves, honey, and cheeses to pair with the bread. Two types of yogurts, goat milk, and homemade, were offered. Each morning, our hostess, Veronique, prepared a different treat such as apricot crumble and crème caramel. Veronique speaks excellent English and several times sits with me and my husband for great conversation. She is extremely fascinating and knowledgeable. Due to a sick husband, we were unable to get to meet him. Well most surely return to this charming and cozy place.

This is a great overnight stop when traveling from or to the uk, close to the motorway. The host, Veronique, who speaks perfect English, gives a warm welcome, a spotlessly clean room, and a gourmet breakfast. The rooms are warm, nicely decorated, with a really comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. We will surely be back.

Because it was a short distance from provence, we only stayed here for one night, and what a wise decision it was. The hosts, Jacques and Veronique, were so welcoming, and the room we received was clean and new, with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and the neighboring village pond, which in the morning was full of birds that floated between the trees and the heron and great white egret looking for breakfast. Even the long distance cyclist who stayed with us struggled to eat because Veronique prepared a wonderful meal, which featured a homemade aperitif and a ton of food. We departed with the company of Veronique and Jacques, who was entertaining. We wished we could spend another day to see some of the surrounding area and enjoy another day here.
