The staff was very kind and helpful. All covid related issues were attended to very carefully! The chateau is only a short walk away. I highly recommend it and would highly recommend it again!

During our pleasant stay, sophistication and charm greeted us and walked by us. We were given the opportunity to check in early and then was invited to enjoy coffee and French croissants in the eatery. The staff was exceedingly kind and accommodating, and we admired their attention to detail. The unexpected evening treats on our bed and the apples in a jar at the bottom of the staircase were thoughtful additions. When we inquired about bicycle rentals, they were quick to contact a nearby rental company and set up a bike delivery the following morning. One of the greatest castles we visited was only a few steps away. Pure elegance and convenience! Very much loved!.

On our first trip of many months, we decided to drive from England to our house in the Dordogne and then through the tunnel, wanted to find a good, beautiful, comfortable, and non-convenient hotel in the lire. Lauberge du bon labourers couldn't have been a better choice. I have mobility problems at the moment and we were able to have a ground floor that was quiet and had a small terrace and a private garden close to the parking lot. The staff was extremely helpful. We enjoyed excellent room service on our terrace and drank some excellent lire wines for very reasonable prices. We loved it so much that we even altered our return date to the UK in August so that we could stay in the same suite. Congratulations to everyone there!.

One of the best hotels we have ever been in! The accommodations are superb, and the service was excellent. The hotel should feel like this! We are still here, but I'm writing this in the midst of it. The personnel was courteous, friendly, and accommodating from the moment we checked in. Gracia, candor, and vishal in particular deserve a special mention, but the sommelier was fantastic. Even though we weren't aware of their names, everyone is incredibly pleasant and supportive. We were privileged to remain in a private room on the first level, with a bath, a separate walk-in shower, and a toilet. The bed is across, which suits us, and there is a courtyard area outside to maintain the annexe rooms. We ordered gastronomic offerings in the main restaurant after having a drink before our dinner in the lovely 24 degree early evening sun in the middle courtyard. We might never eat again! Even though we are incredibly full, there were pleasant touches during the 6 dishes, such as soup between courses, pre dessert, and the infamous drunken cherries that accompany the coffee, as many others have noted. Other reviewers have neglected to mention the mi florentine, mango jelly, nougat, and chocolate truffles that can also accompany that! This was my third stay at the Les Du Bon Travailer, one of my favorite hotels. I came with my girlfriend, my spouse for my birthday, and now for a lastminute solo trip just because of how lovely the lires fall weekend was. The charm of the hotel is obvious when you first arrive, from the ivy creeping up the facade of what was clearly an old coaching inn. Over the years, the proprietors have added additional buildings and grounds to the hotel the last two times I have stayed in the absolutely charming individual small house across from the patio. The reception staff couldnt have been friendly and ready to help. When I arrived, I arrived very early due to going by bus from Ambrose, so I left my bags in and went to the chateau. When I came back for lunch, they took my bags to my room, which was very nice but not at all necessary. I had some issues with my departure train, and they helped me get a replacement ticket. Its also great to have lunch at the chateau and then return to enjoy more of the chateau. I really love the new concept of bistro dining in the submerge. Their main restaurant is, I believe, michelinstarred. When you enter the chateau, the staff will stamp your hand, and you can enjoy a warm soup or sandwich that is still made with the finest ingredients and care but more casual.
