As we had to cross an early morning corridor, we were seeking something within easy reach of Calais, and it appeared ideal given that it was only 35 minutes away. Unfortunately, we arrived too late for dinner, but the receptionist was very helpful in providing some details about local restaurants. Our room was clean, albeit it appeared to be a bit unfinished on the decoration front! We had a double and a set of bunk beds for a family of 4, 2 I attached bathrooms with showers and sinks, but just 1 I separate single toilet! Which appeared strange! The hotel is a lovely and tranquil court yard setting, set in a courtyard setting, with rooms all leading off the court yard.

I stayed at this hotel twice and it was great. The staff are very friendly and helpful! I really enjoyed my room, it's large. We use it on our way home from vacation as it's very close to the Euro tunnel.

The ferry is only an hour or less away, making getting there simple. To obtain a real sense of France, a group of 40 kids were invited to join us. I was very chilly the first night until I discovered I could turn the heater on. From then, I was satisfied. Excellent pillows and duvets were provided on the bed, one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Both morning and evening meals were of high quality. The bread was thick and flavorful. It would have been nice if there had been a coffee maker there. The only noise comes from the ducks who occupy the property because you are outside. Quacking wasn't an issue because we arose at the morning, but if I had gone on a relaxing vacation, the early morning quacks might have put me off. We enjoyed that our children were communicating in French throughout our stay, and the hosts were really kind. excellent location for a school vacation. We appreciate Laura and Francois.

First off, I want to express my interest. My daughter works for the English company that owns this hotel, which is in part used as a base for the school trips to france that they organize. However, this has not influenced my writing, which accurately captures my thoughts and personal opinion. The hotel and restaurant appear to be very popular and totally open to the general public. Well, of course. It is situated in a peaceful, peaceful wooded area that has a historic water mill that gives the hotel its name. Although it doesn't appear very remote, it is not far from the village-small town of Devries with its stores, bars, and restaurants and is not far from Cologne and the main route to and from calais to Paris and the south. This makes it a fantastic and convenient location for an overnight or longer stay to see that part of France. The hotel itself is very comfy. There is also a tea maker in the rooms. The restaurant offers a three-course dinner menu with typically three starters, main courses, and desserts. The fish soup, beef, and creme brulee were particularly tasty. There is a very reasonable wine list with house wine available in glass or carafe, as well as other wine available by the bottle, including good sincere. Also, there is a tiny bar. The staff is quite accommodating and friendly.

Recently, I stayed here for two nights, one at each end of a vacation elsewhere in France due to its proximity to the tunnel. Because my elderly parents who have limited mobility were on the ground floor, we chose the hotel. This hotel perfectly accommodated our demands. The rooms were simple but cozy and clean, in a lovely setting in the countryside. Also great evening meals, great value for such highquality ingredients. Special mention to JeanetteRP who was very helpful to me and my parents. Ill suggest it to others!.
