With our two children ages 8 and 13, we enjoyed a wonderful six days at La Varrie. The atelier is the most stunning little home weve ever stayed in, beautifully decorated by madame and immaculate. La Verrie itself is truly stunning, with countryside and forests everywhere, pleasant walks right from the house, and a small lake opposite. It is blissfully peaceful and quiet. The swimming pool, which was a highlight for the kids just outside the atelier and was heated to over 26 degrees and the ideal size, was the highlight for them. Every morning, we received a delicious breakfast in a wicker basket. There were numerous charming places to explore nearby, including several chateaux less than 10 km away, and madame offered us many wonderful recommendations, including going out of her way to explore what was open during this summer with fantastic ideas for the children. For a long vacation with kids, La verrerie cannot be commended enough, it deserves far more than a stopover, and we will certainly return.

If you do not want your morning and night naps to be overtaken by the constant basso howling of the hound accompanied by his hip, alto companion, we remained here for three days. When we complained the second morning, they informed us that the dog could frequently be heard barking at the moon! Odd since it continued throughout the day. Since the maison had very few English speakers, and Madame can speak English, she would respond in French despite the fact that he can speak French. Despite attempts by both sides to communicate in a variety of languages, they were clearly unheard from our room, which faced their enclosure, as normal.

My trip back to France was wonderful and I wholeheartedly suggest it. On the way from the Languedoc to the Eurotunnel, we stayed here for one night. What a fantastic find, even though it was made in the last minute. Although we could have reserved dinner, we were unsure of our arrival time, so we made the decision to selfcatering. Our arrival was ultimately delayed by more than two hours due to raging storms, but we didnt need to be worried. Our extremely exhausted and hungry children were all charmed and enjoyable by the hosts. We could simply make supper, which wed found in close stores, and settle down for a relaxing evening in the outdoors. We were completely safe because the lodging is in a cottage. The bathrooms and bedrooms were spotlessly clean and very cosy. One of the finest breakfasts weve ever had in years of lodging in French chambre dotes was greeted us after a very restful nights sleep. A rather sublime apricot and almond tart was served along with homemade jam. Exceptionally delicious coffee, too. Although we could have gotten in touch with relatives in the uk, there was no mobile or wifi reception, which can be beneficial. We, however, believe that would have been able to use the home's amenities if it had been urgent.

Lovely accommodation, incredibly kind and accommodating hosts. On the first day of our 2 night visit, we were treated to a beautiful evening meal! In a very peaceful and quiet location. The ideal location for wine tourism, visiting castles, biking, and hunting.

On our way from the uk down to the Languagedoc, our 2 teenagers and dog stayed here for one night. Our dog was in heaven, and the house is in a lovely setting with beautiful grounds and formal gardens in the midst of the forest. After a lengthy drive down, we were given a wonderful and warm welcome from our hosts, and we decided to have a meal prepared for us, which was absolutely delicious and truly delicious. We stayed in a very comfortable family apartment. A wonderful stopover around.
