We stayed for one night and were completely enchanted by this beautiful château and grounds. The rooms were very romantic, spacious, clean and had wonderful views of the gardens. Thank you very much!.

The lovely gardens are a huge plus for this location. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and have a comfy bed. There are amenities for tea and coffee. Although the net curtains offer little privacy at night, the restroom was tidy and had a suitable shower. Even my satnav had a few issues, the setting is rather isolated. Even at night, nighttime noises ceased the peaceful night. You must eat somewhere else because there is no restaurant. Breakfast was adequate.

At the beginning of our explorations of Brittany, we stayed at Chateau de la Foltiere, and we had a great time. The gardens were closing shortly after a busy bank holiday weekend, and when we arrived, we were greeted and given an aperitif in the cafe, where we enjoyed the nearby cider and pear wine. The lovely gardens were then completely ours all through. The grounds were an arboretum before I. Juno, who is now the father of the present young manager, were created these gardens as starting in 1994. The photos on this website and here do not do the garden justice because they are so beautiful and will become even more stunning in the near future. What truly shocked us was the level of service provided. We had a long day of driving and didn't really want to get back in the vehicle and get to a fake restaurant. The young hostess generously offered to make dinner for us quiche, salad, wine, and dessert. It was perfect. We were astonished by her kindness because she was clearly exhausted after a long weekend. She manages the chateau and leads the yard care team. I anticipate hearing excellent things about Chateau de la Foltiere in the future. Perhaps they will one day expand their catering options, this would be a lovely location for weddings.

The gardens here are beautiful and if you're staying in the chateau not just visiting, you can go through them in the evening when they're almost deserted an experience that will allow you to truly appreciate their beauty. We found the chateau itself to be rather stark. The bedrooms were impressive but with a slightly faded elegance, and the breakfast room and indeed the breakfast itself were rather basic, but as an experience, it was worth visiting. There were no bar or restaurant facilities on site in the evening and neither did there be any staff on hand, but if an emergency came, there was a phone number that could be contacted.

This place is very impressive, and then there is the service offered. After that, the rooms here are very impressive, plus the botanical garden is so amazing. Afterward, I like the service.
