What we liked most is that it was not some new, polished place. It was a simple room, clean and comfortable. They had a gravel parking lot. As I said, it was older and simple. It was well managed and maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is not a luxury hotel. But it was clean and the staff was very helpful. They even arranged for us to have some laundry done. Breakfast was available, and there were several restaurants in walking distance. The biggest negative was the lack of an elevator, but it was not a huge problem. We would definitely stay there again.

The bread and croissants have an extremely dry and chemical flavor. The staff is warm and nice. They clean all the rooms. The coffee is bad. The rooms smell like stale tea and mold, but it's never too bad. The club next door is making beating noises on Friday night, so use some earplugs if you are having sleep issues. I don't suggest going to breakfast, the coffee is really bad.

Not luxurious but cozy, clean, and precisely what I needed for one day in town. If you want to see the verden battlefield in town, you will need a car from the location, but this hotel has plenty of parking.

After spending three weeks in Europe, we only went to verden on our final visit. a convenient distance from eurotunnel and a good value hotel, pleasant and clean, and close to the center of verden. Excellent food around the hotel.
