In a world of bland modern hotels it was a pleasure to find a little charm for a short weekend. If you really want to experience France as it used to be and should still be, the Hotel Belle Meuniere will take you back to a time before the multiples ruined everything. The accommodation is clean and more than adequate, the host is charming and the feeling of a past should not be lost on anyone. There is a lovely courtyard and, for those who need it, off-road parking.

I reserved this hostel near the train stop because I had scheduled to travel late at night in a pleasant area. The house had a pebble garden in front, and the location was ideal. I was assigned a bed in a restricted room on the third level, and I quickly became acquainted with two of the visitors. There was a wall to the room, but we kept it away. There was no toilet or sink in the shower room, the shower in the middle of the corridor had a sink, however there was no soap to wash your hands with. When I inquired the front desk employee about it, a tiny tube came out! There was no sink for washing your hands in the toilet at the end of the hallway. I ordered a simple, fried egg with a small slice of bacon and began breakfast in the garden, which was enjoyable, but it was the usual regular breakfast, which cost 10 dollars. I left to board a scheduled tour to catch a train.

I strongly recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and it was an absolute pleasure to be there. The only small issues were the wifi went out and the last day but it was no problem.. Marie the owner is very nice and will answer your emails right away.

Sadly, this hotel is a total nightmare. It feels like you were back in the 1950 s and fully out of time. The location is very close to the train station, and even if this is good for people arriving by train and wanting to leave, it is obvious that the train station is typically the place where crime is the highest. No wonder, they close their windows and lock their doors at night. It feels very unsafe to return to the hotel. When returning to the hotel at night, especially after the terror attacks in nice, you begin to question the safety of the area. Staff is partly rude and appears to be very greedy. We switched to a big hostel in a nice location and paid less for better service and friendlier people. I'm sure word of mouth will do its job and force this hole to close sooner or later. My opinion stay as far as you can away from this hotel. It's more like a hostel anyways.

I booked this hotel for my friend in advance and I wasn't aware of it until we drove up. Im in my 30s and was hesitant when I discovered that I would be sharing a 6 person room with 3 bunk beds. I stayed for 3 nights. Was surprised that sharing was okay for me as I went to bed early when all the other people in my room were still out and got up every morning when they were still asleep. We all shared a bathroom and toilet so no worries. The hotel is close to the main train station and close to the beach. Breakfast was enjoyed in the front yard under beautiful trees. Breakfast is not included in the price I paid extra, but I can't remember how much.
