I only stayed one night in a hotel room near Gare du word with my child. I didn't want to spend a few hours of sleep. It was booked on Saturday morning and arrived late at night at 50. Offer. I gave it five stars, not because it is a lovely hotel, but because of the price, convenience, and cleanliness factors. It met its purpose perfectly well, and the images were realistic. I had no expectations of this being fancy in any way. It was basic, and the bathroom was clean. The shower has good water pressure. The bed sheets were clean. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan. It was great to be so close to Montmartres fabulous attractions. The neighborhood was quite cool, very diverse, and you get a sense of another paris. Migrants had built their own little street market selling nuts and other wares. One man was cooking kebabs from a shopping trolley it was fascinating to watch. We didn't feel unsafe when we returned to the hotel at midnight. Sure, it isn't the prettiest neighborhood, but given it's location, the hotel is most likely used by prostitutes and their customers. I saw many tourists coming in and out. My child felt completely safe with me. This would not be my first choice for a longer stay. We used the room for less than 7 hours
