We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It has a very laid back vibe. The personnel is all particularly friendly. I highly recommend the chef on the half board option it was wonderful. And my demanding 16-year-old son enjoyed choosing the kids menu. The rooms were comfortable. The location is excellent, right next to the ski bus stop, yet it is only a short walk into town.

I would highly recommend hotel ski lodge to anyone looking to ski in Val deserve. We came here for a family vacation over christmas and the hotel was absolutely excellent. Nice rooms with cozy alpine features, fantastic lounge with fireplace, and the staff was always extremely helpful and friendly. I had dinner every night at the hotel and the food was star-notch, couldn't have asked for more.

If your idea of a hotel is one that provides a service then Hotel Ski Lodge is not for you. There are no staff, no receptionist (you have to go to Montana next door for any queries), there is no real communal area or bar or hotel feel and certainly no tea and cakes when you come in from a day's skiing. The room has no amenities other than shampoo, shower gel a dressing gown and slippers (so no safe, no luggage storage, no hanging, no tea and coffee making, no fridge/minibar, no vanity kit, no tissues) although it is cleaned every day. Breakfast is OK to good and we didn't dine in the hotel but the feedback from a friend who did was similar. This is more catered rooms than hotel. Location near the bus stop is good but it is very expensive for what you get (effectively just a room with breakfast) - but then this is Val d'Isere.
