The setting and gardens are lovely and well-kept. Despite having a limited menu, the restaurant 1818 is pleasant. General service is adequate. Although we were in garden cottages and the rooms certainly needed upgrades, our main house visit was enjoyable. The original furniture is lovely, the bed is comfy, and the rooms are quite peaceful. The rooms could be larger and more contemporary, but they could be larger and more contemporary. Some facilities, like a coffee maker, an espresso maker, or something similar, are insufficient. The breakfast was the biggest letdown. The southern brunch consisted of 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon or sausage, some grits, and a biscuit. Nothing exceptional about the southern breakfast. There was no bread of any kind, orange juice that was terrible and ought to be freshly squeezed for this type of hotel, and jelly was simple. I was expecting a lot of southern and regular breakfast rates for this kind of hotel, and we had a dennis type breakfast. It would be ok for a 100$ nightnight hotel, but not for 300$ night.

The entire staff was fantastic from the reservation to the finishing line!! Chef Mice in Restaurant 1818 is great, as are Shanondra, Michele, and Dalasi. Friendly staff will go above and beyond. All the employees are courteous and proud of their work.

The employees were all welcoming and helpful. We liked exploring the lovely grounds even though it was January. We had a delicious supper in 1818, and we had cocktails in the Hitman Lounge. It was interesting to learn more about the estates past on the estates fascinating tour. In addition to the main house, our room was located on the third level. Although it was roomy and furnished with furniture of the period, it does need a significant upgrade compared to other period inns in which weve remained or paid more. It was o. I. With little variety and nothing unique. But again, the attentive personnel made up for it.

I highly recommend it. Wonderful restaurant 1818. The place is stylishly decorated, and the service is amazing. The fried green tomatoes, which are the best I've ever had, are lightly fried. The corn chowder was very good. My husband had the roasted duck, and I had pork chops. The bread pudding with warm white chocolate was also delectable.

This gorgeous house is near to the city but not in town. The hotel location is close to the train station. This inn has beautiful gardens, but it is still a very beautiful inn. The food here was tasty. The price was fair. The restaurant was very good and the service here was so much better.
