Nearly flawless! Beautiful property with historic stables visited by empress Eugene. and transformed in a pleasant and cozy hotel and apartment. We enjoyed the cleanliness and elegance, the design, the tranquility, the countryside, a large garden, and the surrounding forest, though it is not isolated, the location extremely convenient with a car for Armistice memorial, Compiegne and palace, pierrefonds and castle, forest, and lakes, among others. The large parking area, and the gracious welcome by the owner, who is keen to make guests feel at home, to assist with the exploration of the area. Breakfast was almost forgotten! We were in a guest room, not an apartment.

We stayed here for three nights as a group of five couples, using it as a base to explore the beautiful region around Compiegne, cycling, and walking in the forest. The secure de vieux moulin is perfectly situated for this and is an impressive set of historic buildings that were once an equestrian center. The five rooms we occupied were all quite different with distinctive characters but all large and spacious and equipped to a high standard. The bed was big and very comfortable. Our only personal criticism of our room, the seller, was that the lighting in the bedroom was poor, making it feel very dark and reading at night difficult. Breakfast at the lovely large communal table was good and generous, but for the level of lodging it was quite basic. Fruit, yogurt and maybe hard-boiled eggs were available, as we normally expect. Those minor points aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our charming hosts chloe, thierry, and little george, were charming and accommodating, helping to make it a memorable experience. This place is recommended to visit the ruins of pierre fonds and the forget de compiegne. The atmosphere is very quiet, and the room design is very well designed.

On the way to disneyland, we only stayed for one night. Despite arriving out of hours, the owners got us a key and other things in-house. Calling to let them know yourETA is advisable. The kids adored the location, the accommodations were really relaxing, and the fridge might have a few bottles of water on arrival. Although it was impossible to locate a shop to shop, it was excellent and we will return.

There is a nice bed in a nice room. The guests were very friendly and gave great recommendations for attractions in the nearby villages. Perhaps the breakfast selection could be a little more extensive. Otherwise, a great place to stay
