We decided to schoo the boat out because it was the final night of our six-day tour of the region. We were left very unhappy. The hotel is in a perfect location, and the design and attention to detail are exquisite. It offers a comfy bed, a lot of space, a terrific shower, and wonderful toiletries. Unfortunately, I would not suggest or return. The personnel seemed uninterested and deceived. All were a little sullen and unhelpful. The baggage was not helped and no useful information was given. The breakfast waiter did her job, but that was it. She didn't make us feel welcome or check in if we needed anything else. It's a shame because I would give it a five-star rating if the service was as great as the aesthetic. We would also like tea and coffee-making amenities.

We only managed to see the city, but this charming boutique hotel was perfect for our one night stay in Ares. The location is in the center of town, but on a quiet street.

This is an amazing boutique hotel. It looks like a retro movie set. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The location is in a very strategic location in the old town.

I will return. Good place to stay. Excellent quality and very friendly. Excellent location, nice staff, great room. The setting for breakfast is amazing and so in keeping with the town. Very stylish furniture. Ares is a must.

Because it was intended to be converted, this hotel has been sympathetically modernised. The original hotel is now a contemporary boutiquestyle of hotel that is in the heart of the old city and has a central location. On the first floor, we slept in room 50. Be aware that there is no elevator at this hotel and that there are two flights of stairs that go down to the first floor! Our room was roomy, spotless, and furnished with a contemporary shower. The toiletries were of the highest caliber and the water was always hot. You first receive a jar of fresh water upon arrival, but after that, you buy your own or use the tap water. I believed that this was some way of saying that they did not replenish your water every day, particularly as there are no tea or coffee makers in the rooms, given the cost. You always have something to eat because breakfast is typical of the continental. Fresh orange juice and produce both have excellent quality. My concerns are that there is no serviette or cloth provided to cover the freshly cut bread that you have cut yourself. I once took a serviette from a table to make sure my hands werent all over the bread, but otherwise, there ought to be a cloth provided as unhygienic. Likewise, the table was sprayed with a powerful cleanser once a guest had finished! Tables are in an excellent position.
