Stunning location, spotless lodging, and great customer service Jeanpauls reports is everything Ive read about alpine lodging. I was there to combine some wolftracking with valley of wonders petroglyph viewing. Both during one lengthy day, but by noon, the upper trails were completely snowcovered. Jeanpaul borrowed me hiking boots and packed me a lunch of outstanding local cheese, meats, and bread that made the higher passes barely accessible. Many of the petroglyphs, including the famous sorcerers, remained buried in snow, but that disappointment was balanced by finding a wolf sign just 30 miles from the french river. After a hot shower, sunburned and exhausted, I was treated to the best fourcourse meal Ive ever had in the US. I reserved the dormitory sleeping option several weeks in advance and had the dormitory to myself. The entire place is immaculate. Two nights, three meals 75 euros. As wonderful as it is.

What a beautiful hostel with great shared facilities and a cozy cozy bar area and restaurant. Nice food and a great stay. A great stopping point for any hiker, rider etc. Highly recommend.

We were delighted to arrive at relays des marseilles after spending four days hiking in the beautiful mercantour national park and sleeping in mountain huts. It is located in the Gordolasque, the valley near Belvedere. Although we slept in a dormitory, we found it to be more like a hotel, particularly when compared to the refuges higher up in the mountains. It is without a doubt a lovely place for hikers, cyclists, and bikers with lovely beds, excellent showers, a pleasant atmosphere, and a reasonable price. The cuisine we found wasn't special, but it was fairly decent, unquestionably not as awful as other reviewers noted it to be.
