We stayed here on a Saturday night, when the restaurant was packed with locals. Clearly the most popular location in town offering good country cuisine and excellent value for money. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the child friendly garden, but it was only peaceful after the evening revelers had passed. We were on the second floor, the third for americans, without an elevator or porter. If you can negotiate the rather narrow entrance, there is a free parking lot behind the hotel. For its cost, this hotel was comfortable, clean, and excellent value for money.

This is a clean, clean, basic hotel but you can get a room at the back in the summer because it's very noisy with the window open. Restaurant is an individual but not costly. Breakfast is weak. The owner is very friendly but looks worn out. For the price, I'm very disappointed.

The hotel de la poste is a family-run, small business with 11 bedrooms, some spacious enough for families, and all new bathrooms. The restaurant is big and seemed to have many guests each evening, mainly French, with sometimes some compostela pilgrims also the little town of fence is on the trail between geneva and le puyenvelay. Fresh flowers were on every table and the food was delicious. There are various menus available, each ending with a selection from the trolley of about 25 different cheeses and another trolley with at least 15 different homemade desserts. Blueberry or raspberry tarts, raspberry and pear plans, a delicious chestnut cream tart, two chocolate desserts, white and black chocolate mousse, fruit salad, creme brulee and other. There were a lot of fruit if you couldn't find what you needed! Reasonably priced and the most extensive menu with starter home-cooked foie gras, for example, fish dish, meat dish, cheese and dessert only cost 26. There were about half a dozen quite elderly people staying at the hotel, having lunch and dinner there, during their vacation from Ljub or it. Etienne. The proprietors of the property were quite pleasant and went above and beyond to make everyone comfortable and happy. I will certainly return there and have a good base for a walking holiday in this lovely area.

It's pretty basic with amazing colors clashing in the decor, but don't be fooled. The restaurant is so big for a reason that the locals flock there every night for a blowout of delicious food.

This hotel is a little bit raucous, but generally, it is attractive. bobbi, geoffrey, and dickiebird, fellow tripadvisor members, have excellent job describing the hotel in their subsequent posts, so instead of repeating what they have said, I advise you to read their three reviews. Ask for a room that faces the back of the building and overlooks a very quiet and serene grass. The front room faces the main road, and due to the tall and stone buildings on both sides, there will be a lot of traffic noise on the street side of the property despite the owners best efforts to stop this by upgrading the windows and installing rolling shutters. Rooms at the back of the hotel cost 10 a night more, but you can trust it, it's money well spent. Furthermore, room rates are ridiculously low, starting at around 50 per night, 10 months of the year, so the additional 10 premium for the back side of the house will not break the bank. The restaurant downstairs is excellent. The locals also know this, which means the restaurant typically fills up every night. Get yourself downstairs for dinner at 730 a. M. If you wanted to have to pay twice as much in any other part of France without having equally good cuisine, Im afraid you could easily pay twice as much in another location in France.
