Clean bungalow, many surfaces of the room had Tiari flowers on them. Room smelled like a dream. Mosquito net had some holes would be my only complaint. Room and grounds were as pictured and staff was friendly.

We had to cancel our reservation less than 24 hours after booking and the property would not reimburse even one night of a 3 week booking. Not helpful at all.

Paradise! We stayed twice for 3 days each time (we rebooked after our first stay). We had an ocean view bungalow for each stay - we even had whale sightings on a couple of occasions!! The bungalow was perfectly rustic in tropical conditions - those expecting bug free, A/C perfectly clean rooms beware. The bungalow was very comfortable with a ceiling fan - that with the open door/windows with ocean breeze we slept well! Location is remote/residential so we felt safe. Bedding and bed was comfortable. Friendly dogs at the property but at night they and the neighbourhood dogs could start their barking concerts - but we found that everywhere in FP with so many dogs. But no roosters around crowing in AM at least! There was a small fridge in the bungalow, everything else kitchen related was in a communal kitchen. We made our coffee and cooked meals there (small place so we never had to wait). There was a nice stony beach in front we explored - water shoes would have been safer than our flip flops! There is a sheltered spot in front for swimming/snorkeling. It was small but there was some nice fish and some coral - even an octopus! Beautiful sunset and sunrise views!

Simply amazing, we had an Ocean View Bungalow for just the one night (if we had the time we would have loved to have stayed longer). Private beach, swimming pool, comfortable bed and so private, we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Highly recommend for couples or people like us who have spent weeks at sea and instead of staying overnight in Papeete on our Cruise Ship opted to rent a car and see the the real Tahiti. Loved it.

I spent 8 nights at Punatea Village and I greatly enjoyed my stay. The owner was very kind and accommodating. He upgraded me to a bungalow for 6 of my 8 nights at no extra cost. The kitchen is very clean and comes with all the utensils you need for cooking. It has a communal refrigerator. The lounge eating area is covered. The grounds is well maintained , with numerous beautiful tropical plants and trees. There is a nice swimming area which is protected from the surf by a wall of boulders. There is a small, well-maintained swimming pool. The rooms are pleasant, without refrigerators, and with a well -maintained shared bathroom. The bungalows are very nice equipped with a refrigerator, ceiling fan, and a mosquito net, which you really don’t need. There are very few mosquitoes!

Husband and wife couple chose this place because we were winging it without confirmed plans. Yikes. However this place was one of the only affordable places left and we booked it. We were so happy with the little resort. It's rustic, cozy, relaxed, Beach side, free onsite water toys like kayaks. A real easy experience. The host was super chill and helpful. Free communical kitchen for wine openers, morning coffee, appliances worked, decor was very local. If you like small hidden gems, this is it! We would certainly book it again.

The property is right on the beach, 100m away from a Magasin (dairy) and only 4km away from the small town of Taravao. Kitchen facilities and complimentary tea and coffee are great. Very clean and the fan in my room was great for keeping the temperature down. Hands down the best value for money on my ten day trip. Note:- The welcoming dog is a bit loud but he's on a chain and it is completely safe. He calms down after a few times walking past.

It was a great view of the ocean. Sounds of waves crashing against the rocky shore. Nicely kept grounds. Comfortable bed. Yes, it is showing some age, but I didn't mind after paying 1/3 of what other beach resorts were asking. Great for the price.

The bungalow was very nice. The grounds are very nice. A separate communal fully equipped kitchen and dining area but nothing provided. Lovely swimming pool. There is a fridge, but no tea making facilities in unit. The best pizza just down the road we have ever tasted. Pity we did not have more days. This is a great place to chill out and relax.

It’s a bit run down. Not super clean, no soaps etc provided. The beach was great as is the property itself. Just hasn’t had much up keep in years. If they invested a bit it could be really nice.

The grounds look amazing and well kept, but the rooms look nothing like the pictures. The sheets are piling and mismatched/thin, the ceiling has mold, the fans are broken. Staff not friendly. Best part: coconuts
