I highly suggest altstadhof Freinsheim to anyone. On the weinstraße, this is our goto hotel. It serves as a wonderful stopover for exploring the area, including Heidelberg, Speed, and Schwetzingen. A winery operates the hotel, and Thursday evenings are when the tasting room is open. Everyone is welcoming and accommodating. The manager assisted us in making dinner reservations and speaks English. Dont forget to shop in the office area because they have some locally produced merchandise, including jewelry. The rooms are spacious and cozy even by American standards. The bathrooms, however, only have showers. Everything is immaculately clean. You wont see any facecloths in the room because there is no air conditioning in the hotel. It is also important to note that the motel does not have an elevator. About a 5- to 10-minute stroll away, the hotels parking area is actually a grassy area. However, you can take your vehicle to the door to load and unload your luggage. Eggs are made to order, and the breakfast is a lot of options.

Overall, this hotel is a fantastic bargain. We came here as a family in the gorgeous, historic village of Freinsheim, and this hotel perfectly matched the environment. We reserved a very spacious family suite room 20 like a 2-room apartment. Note that this hotel provides a full, delicious breakfast, but there is no lunch or dinner restaurant on site not a problem considering the wonderful Weinstube Heinrich restaurant next door need reservations. Note that hotel parking is about 500 meters away after you drop off your luggage at the hotel. Our only complaint is that the social space provided next to the rooms should include a sign that prohibits social gatherings there after 11 a.m. A group of 8 socialized there until 1 a.m. Their noise wasn't useful. Maybe a door should be installed between the rooms and the social space.

In the heatwave, when I went there, I spent two nights, which gave me a break from the heat, this is the spot to stay if you like it hot in the summer. Apart from the heat, the hotel is very nice, the rooms are clean, and the staff is very helpful, and the town is also a very nice place to visit.

What a treasure in the center of Freinsheim. From the charming courtyard to the modern rooms, this hotel didn't disappoint! We kept the windows open but Monday night the courtyard bar was open until midnight and the noise came up to our room.

If everything was found and I had the best scrambled eggs of my life, I would say breakfast, is the only thing that could be improved. In such a place, we are waiting for something elsemoredifferent. I didn't except to stay three nights in such a place. I made a mistake while making a reservation for a sizable hotel in Mannheim's city center. The place and city are amazing, tranquil, and serene. Warm greetement. My accommodation was very nice. Nothing was left. There is a terrace in the hotel where you can watch the stars and sky at night! The service is not expensive at all.
