Recently stayed at this hostel on my way to Austria with my family. Do not rely on sat have and make sure you have detailed directions on hand because the location was difficult to find, my sat took me around the town center twice and unfortunately I had a road traffic accident before arriving at the hostel and damaged the back of my car. Back to the hostel, checking was very easy, and we were pleasantly surprised at the great location which is located next to a park and the river shine. Rooms are a good size, beds are very comfortable, shower and bathroom are very good, and everything is absolutely spotless. Breakfast was also very good and more than adequate, serving typical continental breakfast. Would definitely recommend this for a few nights. Tips: Use Mozzie spray if you are staying in the summer, otherwise you will have more than a few bites. Print detailed instructions. Request an extra pillow, as the one they have is inadequate.

The hostel is close to the train and bus stations, which are both within walking distance. You can also engage in sport and take in the scenery here. Clean rooms, but you must make your own bedding to prepare your bed, which isn't very appealing for the price you pay. Good security lockers inside the room to keep your belongings safe and secure using your own card. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety and a delicious meal to choose from. Reception service is very slow, and check-in or check-out can take minutes.

I can't say enough good things about this hostel. We'd think twice about staying here. This hostel was amazing. It was amazing. We stayed in several hotels over the years, from basic to luxurious, and this hostel is perfect for us. The location is near the river and a short walk from the train station. The staff was friendly. They provide a shower and toilet. The staff served breakfast too. The rooms here were basic but immaculate. The rooms also had great cleanliness. The staff is nice.

This was the best thing we did on our vacation. We decided that cycling in the rain was not fun for us as it was the 200 year anniversary of the Velocipede in a wet morning to Mannheim and that we should check to see if the youth hostel would accommodate us. They did, and it was fantastic, with everything you would expect from a youth hostel, plus very friendly service except for the tea bags. Good job I brought some from the uk. Good Job! English hey! I would definitely recommend this to any traveller, and the rooms are perfect for families.

I cant comment on any of the various amenities that existed, such as a playground, table tennis, and breakfast, which weren't available after 700 a. M. I. But I believe it was good that they were readily accessible. But this is a hostel that specializes in food. Communal food. And there was no hand soap available in the bathroom. It is revolting. I asked the front desk clerk why there was no soap available. She replied, obviously because this is a hostel. I am unconvinced. Toilet paper was available, but why not hand soap? I know that hostels are frills, but I don't believe soap is a luxury. Hand soap must always be available in the restroom. Always. It is essential for health and sanitation. I chose to stay at the jugendherberge Mannheim for that reason alone, rather than for that reason. The hike from the train station to the hostel is not terrible, although it's mostly flat and paved. The top bunk wasn't too high up and the bedding was adequate. I think I had to pay more for it? Or maybe 5 euros. The bed overall was comfortable and had a little platform for personal items and a night light. Showers are odd, despite lack of ledges where you can put shampoo, soap, etc. I would suggest this hostel to other visitors if

All guests must be members of the DJH, Deutscher Jugendherbergsverbund, German Youth Hostel Association or Hostelling International. Membership can be purchased at the reception upon arrival, with a cost of EUR 7 per year for German guests up to the age of 26 and EUR 27.50 for families or guests aged 27 and above. Each year from June 1st onwards, membership will be half price for guests purchasing a DJH membership for the first time.Foreign guests require a Hostelling International Card, which costs EUR 18, if they are not members of a national Hostelling Federation. For single overnight stays, a Welcome Stamp can be purchased for EUR 3.50.WiFi is available in public areas free of charge twice a day for 60 minutes per device.Please note that bed linen is included in the service charge, but towels incur a fee of EUR 1.50 per towel.Please note that for bookings of 6 guests or more, special terms and additional supplements may apply.
