Upon the advice of a friend and other tripadvisor reviews, we stayed here for four nights. The starnberger view and the mountains were both visible from the room. The room is clean and has a wonderful shower. The small table when you entered the room had a plate of Christmas cookies and chocolates. The bed was too hard for me, so the owner put some kind of pad down, which was much better. My husband found that without a pad his side was quite comfortable. He prefers a firm bed than I do, so he found him to be comfortable without the cushion. The owner was a fantastic woman who spoke English and was always asked if we needed anything and if we did, she was able to provide it. The rolls and jam were my favorite brunch and typical Bavarian cuisine. The town and railway station are both accessible by foot from the hotel. A cinema and an Italian restaurant are across the street. There are many small stores within town to explore. A quick stroll also takes you to the lake. We will definitely return because we have friends in the area.
