This hotel was so disappointing, with the cleanliness of the hotel being bad, and also the cleanliness of the linens and towels. The breakfast was very poor and there were no leftovers from the dinner. The room temperature was low so it made me uncomfortable. It was also a shame when I arrived that early but luckily my room could be fixed.

This place is a good hotel, it is very clean, tidy, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, the room is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. But in terms of the location, it looks like a ghetto and can be a bit scary on the first day, but the staff is so friendly and helpful.

We chose the place since it was within walking distance of the Hauptbahnhof railway stop plus the price. It is indeed close to the railway stop which is fantastic, but Steindamm Street is awful. Oh, as a cab driver said! There are so many dirty people out there. When you enter the small lobby the first thing that strikes you is that there is no elevator access to the rooms and you will stare at a long staircase. We were with family and children and had to liftcarry all our luggage up. That is not done. You will walk a few steps and again climb 56 steps to reach rooms or the dingy elevator after reaching the first floor. It is possible to experience porterfie in the same way as taking a selfie. We paid more for a forced room, but we discovered that they had just put two additional couches in a double bedroom! I had no idea what was going to happen. The next morning we found a couple of them feeling itchy all over and when we looked at the sheets we found bedbugs. We also took pictures and videos and complained to the receptionist. There were initially denial and rooms full etc, but as we got angry they got us moved to a different hotel named lumen on the opposite side of the street, which is a bit better but not a way out of porterfie!.
