In early September, we stayed here while cycling the danceradweg. Kirsten resolved this once more, even though there were some questions about the already reserved rooms. I would stay here again while visiting Kelheim. The rooms are really clean, well-equipped, and in a great position because they are really close to the old town centre. Breakfast is plentiful with a wide variety of options. Last but not least, the hotel is bike-friendly and has bicycle storage in the back.

Our stay at this nice little hotel with just a few rooms was fantastic. Great rooms, delicious breakfast, and a really nice beer garden in the back. Shopping, restaurants, beer gardens, etc are all within short walking distance. The boats that take you to Weltenburger closer Donaudurchbruch can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes.

If you prefer to stay at this hotel rather than going through the typical hotel chain and want to experience its traditional German charm, I suggest coming here. I stayed here for one night while riding the bikes from Ingolstadt to Regensburg. The only disadvantage was that as we arrived and left, the hotel personnel was not easily located due to their busy schedule with the restaurant. The hotel's infrastructure includes a tiny beer garden with a lovely setting next to a little creek, and it's a great place to rest after a bike ride. While we could keep an eye on them, the kids played in the shallow creek. The breakfast was delectable and had a variety of tasty options.

We will definitely come back to explore not only kelheim but the surrounding area. A genuine gem in the altstadt of kelheim. Beautifully renovated with very nicely decorated rooms. The owner are very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful.
