So much thought went into the process of this hotel and it is reflected in the art work, furniture, and general feel. They also had the most amazing pillows, duvets and beds. Not sure why I loved them, but the comfort was there. There is no air conditioning which I loved - I like to open windows. Close to public transport and the area is lovely. There is a connection to a former skating rink and ice factory. This is not for the frugal folks but even now and then I upgrade myself.

Very friendly staff at reception. We found it fairly hot in the room and couldn’t get the AC to cool it down so we had to open the window in the middle of the night after waking up sweating (it was like 12C outside…). Other than that it was a very nice stay. Beds were comfortable, European cushions a bit hard to use but managed on the second night. Shower pressure and provided shampoos were good too we were able to park on the street the first night (Sunday for free) but then couldn’t find a park Monday so went down the narrow garage under the hotel. Very close to a Vietnamese restaurant which is delicious! And a charming pub called Liebighof. It’s also very close to an express convenience store, and the section of the park where the surfers go!

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. A few minutes walk from the English Garden and several tram and bus stops, and about 15 minutes walk from the town centre, the location is perfect. Developed from an old ice factory, the design is unique and stylish. Room amenities are perfect, including USB points for charging devices. Breakfast is delicious and great value for money. The bar has a lively but tasteful atmosphere. And the staff couldn't be nicer. We stupidly left money in our room and they shipped it back to us within a week at little cost to us. Wonderful place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing hotel away from the busy center, however still close enough to walk there. Plenty of public transport also available in the near proximity of the hotel. Main key sights easily accessible with the English Gardens just a street away. Staff were extremely helpful and professional meeting all our questions and needs. A highly recommended hotel to stay if visiting Munich.
