Gyor is a beautiful city within a 2 hour drive of Budapest. Definitely worth stopping! This hotel was perfect. The only drawback was that there was not lift which was difficult for my 78 year old mother. We managed and were very impressed with the property, the staff and breakfast the following morning. I would definitely come back to this hotel for a future visit.

Barrok Hotel is in an excellent location close to many restaurants and shopping. It is just off the main square providing for a very quiet stay but very close to all of what the Promenade has to offer. It is very close to the underground Dunakupa parking lot. The hotel is in a walking only area and you cannot drive your car in front of the hotel to drop off luggage or check in. You must park you car in the underground parking lot. The staff was very pleasant and their breakfast was satisfactory. Very good value.

Jag åkte till Györi för att titta på mitt fotbollslag och hade inga förväntningar men kan säga vilken mysig stad. Så även hotellet i barockstil och så rent och fint. Frukosten är så att rekommendera. Personalen är vänlig och hjälpsam. Måste då även nämna Mira som jobbade med på frukosten så vänlig och tillmötesgående. Hon gav hotellet det personliga som är så uppskattat när man reser. Kommer åka tillbaka med garanterad

This is our absolute favorite place in Gyor. We keep coming back. The staff goes above and beyond to help you in every way. It is beautiful, spotlessly clean and in a great location. Parking is so close it is not a problem at all not having it at the hotel itself. Can’t wait to come back again! Best staff ever!!

This hotel is safe to visit during this period in Corona. Everything is spotless. You can order a meal at the front desk and get it at a 20-meter distance from the hotel. The food is fantastic. You can go gyro at night.

I will happily return. This hotel is absolutely perfect when I visited with my family and friends in advent, based in the city center. There were no negatives for us. The rooms are very upscale and clean. We really liked the refreshed lounge and a la carte breakfast.

If you are seeking a big, generic hotel in a large city, stop reading. If you are seeking a modest, high-quality, modern hotel in a beautiful, middle-sized city, read someone. Gyro is located halfway between Vienna and Budapest, and there are hourly departures from the train station in either direction, and each travel time is about one hour and 20 minutes. The station is a 10 to 15-minute walk away. Our luggage had been misplaced by the airline, and the hotel manager, sips balls, was very helpful in helping us get it delivered to our hotel. He went above and beyond! A very good restaurant, Matron, is a short stroll from the hotel. Do not go there if you want to be surrounded by tourists. Go there if you want to eat true hungarian food with only locals at the next table!.

Very nice location right in the city center. I'd had to wait a bit longer, but the price was good and the coffee was delicious. And then the staff was nice to us with fluency in English.

Great location just 100 m from the main square and most of the important sites in Gyor. Spacious room, well appointed and nicely decorated. A nice common area on the first floor, with tea and cookies available most times. There are no lifts in the building, so you will be carrying your suitcase up and down the staircases. The breakfast was good, with a reasonable selection of hot and cold items.
